Thieves have taken the vin # from cars and trucks and walked into any dealer and told them that they locked or lost there keys and request they make another key from the vin #. Some dealers have made such keys without question. I keep my vin# covered by sliping a 3 x 5 index card over it.

Pretty cheap and just wrapped it around the frame, through the wheel and pulled it tight. If I loose the key, I get out the cable cutter. I liked it as it had no end on the cable so it fit through the small slots on my steel spare.
