How to remove clutch fan assembly on '06?

Any pointers on how to get this joker off of front of motor? It's not cooperating.

I went and bought the kit for removing fan clutches at NAPA and used that. It took a good jerking but mine finally broke loose. The worse part for me was getting the plug to unplug. Good luck.

Make sure you are turning the right way. Going from memory my 94 was left hand thread and I think my 03 is right hand. One easy way to loosen the fan nut is with an air chisel. The easiest way to get fan out is to take lower half of shroud off and take fan out the bottom, at least on an 03.

They all loosen in direction of rotation.

Right hand thread. Nut is on clutch and threads over a thread on the pulley.
