I do not care for the woodgrain trim that came with my SLT pkg. I am ordering the SS look replacements for the dash and the doors. Do you have to remove the whole door panel or do they just snap in???

I want to say you may have to remove the door panel to get to the snaps... I would be more than glad to take the woodgrain off your haqnds once you get it removed!

Where are you getting the replacements panels? The silver pieces, stainless look, are only serviced by door panel replacement from Dodge. That is when I gave up.

Woodgrain

I did not care for the woodgrain look either so I did some modifications. I mistakenly took the door trim off thinking they were snap in clips, however, as I found out they were platic welded to the interior door skin. Fortunetly the main snap worked to hold it on once I repainted them. The woodgrain on the dash is actually part of the dash and you need to take the whole thing out to make any modifications. I have to say it cost me 10. 00 to paint the dash and trim and I was able to get a custom look for a very small price.

I used a flat head screwdriver to pop the plastic welds. Make sure you are careful and put a piece of cardboard or a towel between your interior and the screwdriver. When you get to the main snap work it out gently as it is not very sturdy, if you are careful with it it will pop out without a problem and you can reuse it. Are you planning on painting them? If so I can give you some tips with that as well.
