How to trailer wiring?

I just bought a 33' 5th wheel flatbed hauler.

I have a 1995 truck. Just wondering how to wire up the coupler. Do I have to splice into the trucks wiring? Or is does the truck have a circuit just for trailer wires? I have a 7 pole connector that I will be using.

My '99 had the towing package, and a 7pin at the rear hitch. When I had the goose hitch installed, they wired into the section of the harness going to the existing 7pin, and installed my brake controller. The wiring for the brake controller was already in the harness, just used the plug in adapter that had come with the truck new. I don't know about a '95, but I would guess it is similar.
