Alright,

For all that are interested here is the dyno difference from DD Super Mentals to Bully Dog V's... . I gained 62 HP and 113 lbs. torque by going to the Bully Dog V's! My old HP # was 449 and the new HP was 511 on #2 alone. I really love these new injectors!

Now for the real surprise..... I installed a N02 setup on my truck today and dynoed it with the BD V's and N02. I ended up getting 711HP and I hit the Torque limit on the dynojet at 1200 lbs! Now I am pretty sure there are a few ponies left to be found because I didn't have a huge selection of jets. So I will be heading back down for a tuning session soon!

I am turning in now because it has been a long day.

A gain of 61 RWHP over the SM's is much better than I thought you would see Doug, guess it's safe to say that I'm at a minimum of 450 RWHP with the 5's and the TST, now I really can't wait 'till I dyno again. Those are some huge numbers with the N02  . Just so everyone knows, Doug used the same dyno and dyno operator that he used when he tried the supermentals.

Bigsaint or Jetpilot, how streetable are those injectors? Could you use them if you towed? Just curious for future reference. :D

That's some good numbers with your setup up and good info I'm sure for Kurt, give us some feed back on that EGT's you were seeing on the dyno as some can relate.

Thanks, Jim

Ok - you posted the numbers.

Now tell us about the differences between the two? And streetability of both with the auto!

Please? ;)

I will try and anwer any questions that I can.

Kat:

As for the streetability between the two injectors. I really don't have anything bad to say about the driving characteristics of the V's. I will say this if you drive heavy footed they will leave a pretty good haze behind you and if you lay into it without boost, well the world behind disappears. With the SM I could drive more aggressive and not create as much smoke but it was still there. Also off boost the SM create a big black cloud as well.

JFulmer:

I am not really sure of the egt's. I was really concerned about boost #'s and my head gasket more than egt. As for egts on the street, with the box on 5X5 I can hit 1500* by about the middle of third gear. These injectors really rock but if you are gonna tow I don't think you could tow over about 4-5K and not have to worry.

Hope this helps,

Doug

Speaking of boost, what were the before and after boost numbers with the injector swap?

What size jet were you using for the nitrous?

Boost number with the SM's was around 50 psi and when I went to the V's I gained about 4 psi to be around 54.

As for the N02 I started out using a 26 in the first stage and a 72 in the second, I turned 693HP with this setup. I then changed to a 110  in the second and left the 26 in stage one and got 711HP. The black smoke started to go away and then came back as the jets were not enough. I will have to do some tuning... . I only had a few jets and the 110 was the largest I had. Also the install too a lot longer than I thought so it was almost 10 pm when we did the runs and we were trying not to get folks who live around there too upset.

during our test & tune sled pull yesterday and just driving while empty for the last 3 weeks I can bury 1740* with the B1 and BD5's with the COMP on 5/5 with 52 lbs of boost the COMP off I can hit 1340 and it stays there at 40 lbs of boost--since I'm in good ol' CA the reflash I think I need to keep my truck from stalling I can't get---that's the only issue I have with the BD5's yes they smoke if you do like Jet Pilot states---it's just the stalling that's driving me nuts and I think it's a CA thing as other guys outside of CA have gotten reflashed and it cured the prob---as for towing I wouldn't get them if you towed a lot unless you like smoke and aren't worried about the temps-chris

TDK--since the truck is a CA truck it will not take Federal TSB flashes the computer won't let it--but it is a good idea if I can possibly get a Federal ECM and my dealer won't reflash-maybe in Pahrump they will----chris

Doug,,Congrats on the roll on Sunday only whish I could have stayed around for the final run,,Guess the west coast boys are now beginning to see that the easterners can roll with them... Andy

Yeah, the Easterners are rolling with the Westerners using the technology from the West. i. e. Bully Dog injectors from Idaho, B-1 turbo from New Mexico, and Comp box from Utah.

The numbers are great Doug, you have something to be proud of.

The Nitrous runs are awesome. Good to hear you put in some real nitrous jets (110)

Amazing!

Don~

east coast just now catching up?????

Yeah, I guess this guy doesn't count as a East Coaster? And don't tell me about the suposed 4xxhp run at TST, take it to the track!!!!

Chris, that was what I was going to say next. :D :D
