Two weeks ago, I came home on my lunch break and left the truck running. On the way back to work, engine warm and normal power, I pull back on to the main drag AND SOOT OUT BOTH LANES. :--) :--) :--) This was coupled with excessive tire spin... Not a normal thing. :-laf
I had cranked the starwheel the week before but never noticed much of a change from it.
I checked the turbo. . It's fine and I can hear it wind down after a shutdown.
I don't know any good reason why the truck did it. Hasn't done it again in about 600 miles.
Anyone got any ideas on what went on or what to check for?? I'm talking complete and total. . thought my turbo took the day off, sooted enough to halt traffic. EGTs didn't get out of hand as it cleared after about 200 yrds
Hope it isn't something problematic. I had forgotten about it.
