2006 Chevy 2500HD Cummins Swap

1990 f250 cummins swap help

That thing has got to have over $50,000 in just the mods to get that cummins in there, did you see the stainless steel braided lines they used throughout? nice, very nice.

I bet there is at least 200 hrs in that conversion. I usually spend 120 or better on just a regular pickup truck project. If that was really a DOD upgrade project, you can bet the money was high.

somebody needs to buy that hummer from here!

This post is almost 2 years OLD !

It scared me as I found a post from our dear lost friend - HVAC! Wonder what the cost of Diesel is where he's at now????

Yeah, but that goes for almost every type of vehicle... . EVERY dealer rakes you over the coals.

You are right, though... . HUMMER dealers really rake people over the coals...

When I was in the Marines back in the late 80's and early 90's we drove Hummers with Cummin's in them. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy one of these military surplus Hummers?

They were not very fast, and very uncomfortable, but we couldn't break them despite our best efforts. Lots of fun running through the desert.

Huh?!

Since when did the AM General Hummer/HMMWV... EVER come with a Cummins under the hood?!

The HMMWV's always had GM 6. 2L V8 NA diesels... FAR from being a Cummins...

The civilian H1's had 6. 2L NA/6. 5L NA/6. 5L turbo and the 5. 7L (350cid) V8 gassers...
