Wonderful news!
He befriended me via the TDR.
I would visit Santa Clara often for work, traveling from Vermont.
I loved the white knuckle rides in his slightly and ever so slowly more and more modified red work truck.
Because of Nowel I met many of the local cummins fans. Blair,Mike,Cliff,'Willys' and so many more I can not bring up at this moment.
For the topic, he is solely responsible for many like myself leaving a powerful rumble behind our ever so slightly modified diesel pickups.
HVAC RIP my friend and congratulations!!
Yes, this really is wonderful news!

I have many red truck photos and a couple truck videos but am sad to say I can not find one shot of Nowel so far.

Nowel was indeed a fun guy to hang with. Dyno, drags, show and shine even at the pulls.

Red Rocket lives forever!

Just a heads up, we, the National Association of Diesel Motorsports, will be inducting HVAC into the 1 year old Diesel Motorsports Hall of Fame. 06/22/2013, at Gaston Lions Club park, Indiana. The event is Thunder in Muncie. He will join Dave Mitchell, who was inducted as the inaugural member, last year.

What fantastic news! I am only here at the TDR today (and the RamRunner's) because of Nowel. I will NEVER forget. Now, my youngest son, now 4, is fasinated with Nowel, the Red Rocket, the legend, the decal on the side window of my truck, and the videos on my computer. Nowel, is definitely kicking Butt at that race track in the sky!

Awesome Gene.

Thanks guys, anything you can find we could add to an internet Hall of Fame, (if our web guy gets around to it:rolleyes:) I would be glad to put it up.

It seems weird to be talking About Diesel HISTORY that we lived, but things move so fast in this industry, you are forgotten in seconds. Its up to us,to educate the newbies on how we got here!
