Where does the heater panel a/c snowflake circuit go??

What does it actually trip/flag/signal? Can't seem to find that via diagrams and pin outs.. But I don't have the complete section with me lol.

It is just a momentary switch that tells the ECU to turn on the AC compressor. It either puts a signal on the data bus or there is a sense wire in the big harness back to the ECU.
 
What year truck do you have? I can probably find which wire it is for you. I wired mine on my '98.5 to a switch so I could turn the compressor on or off in any position. I just cut the wire, put it on one side of the switch and grounded the other side. Mine is not a momentary switch. Your 3rd Gen may need a momentary switch, though.
