A friend of mine just bought a B1 Kwikspool for his 2nd gen, and after we bolted that and a new set of injectors into his yesterday, he gave me his old HX-35. Put it on my rig today, and I must say I'm pretty pleased for a free turbo. Whines like crazy, which is a good enough upgrade for me, but also lowered EGTs, cleared up some smoke, and spools faster too. Can't get the pyro above 1100 (used to hit 1250 easy), so next weekend I'm going to bottom the fuel screw ( I had turned it down a tad because it was running so hot at WOT).
My question deals with the wastegate. When I installed the turbo today, I just plugged the wastegate. It will boost to 34 psi, which doesn't bother me. Is there an advantage to hooking up the wastegate? If so, what, and what would you hook the wastegate into?
Thanks
AJ
