How much boost are you pushing with it?

Whar BOMBs do you have on the engine (injectors, boxes)?

Do you think it will blow up on you?

36lbs boost max so far

I'm running a Piers prepped HX40/16. To answer your questions:

How much boost are you pushing with it? 41 psi max, 39/40 constant

Whar BOMBs do you have on the engine (injectors, boxes)? See signature below

Do you think it will blow up on you? I seriously doubt it. I beat it hard and it's held up so far :)

How many have you blown up? None, and I have only heard of a couple that have failed, but it was when the turbo wasn't run according to Piers' instructions.

What RPM does it spool? Pretty quick... around 1600 rpm. The turbo itself spins ~130k rpm at 40 psi.

Who did you purchace the turbo from? Piers Diesel Research

What is the Part number on the turbo? P/N is the HX-40, don't know the serial no.

Hope this helps, John

I have a bone stock HX40, have had it on since June 2001, ~35K miles

How much boost are you pushing with it?

Normal driving - 8 - 15 PSI, Drag racing - 45 PSI. My wastegate died on me this summer, so I just disabled it. Wastegate was set at 43 PSI.

Whar BOMBs do you have on the engine (injectors, boxes)?

See my profile (dd3's, drag Comp, SBC, K&N..... )

Do you think it will blow up on you?

Hope not!!!

How many have you blown up?

None so far

What RPM does it spool?

Not really sure, have heard the 40's start coming alive at 1500 RPM... .

Who did you purchace the turbo from?

Purchased from and installed by Diesel Dynamics in Vegas.

What is the Part number on the turbo?

No idea...

Tom

The part number for the ones on the ISC engines is #3800383. I almost had one from some guy on ebay for 225 bucks after the reserve wasn't met and the prick sold it out from under me.

I am running a PDR HX40 with a 4" exhaust, 275 injectors and a TST Powermax 9. I have not noticed anything over 30 lbs of boost but the powermax 9 uses the trucks computer to tell it what the boost is and I have seen reports that this is extremely unreliable. The spool up isn't much different from the stock 35 except when it does spool up I get pains in my face from smiling to much. I have not found any ford or chevies that want to race anymore-oh well-maybe I'll paint my truck. Oo.

I have a bone stock 40. It is wastegated at 40psi. If you use them much above that I hear they will blow. I think mine starts to kick in the pants about 1700. I bought mine brand new for $275. Check my profile for what I have done to my truck.
