2002 CTD 4X4 Quad 6 speed! NOW WITH PICS!!
Well, after this fiasco my wife was able to make me realize that if I am going to make payments on a vehicle, first time in ten years, it better be what I want! So after the initial dejection last week I started looking again, but the diesel configuration I wanted is quite rare around here. Today, I happened to be browsing Cars.com and found an ad for a dealer close to me for what seemed like the exact thing I was looking for, and at a good price.
Here is the link. I called up about it and the sales manager said the price was wrong and that their internet guy screwed up, but they morally have to honor it until the change takes effect.
So, I went there straight from work and was glad to see that it was still there. My parents met me there for the test drive(very embarrassing for a 31 year old, but my Dad loves buying vehicles) The good thing is that it was just traded in and not cleaned yet so I was able to see how the PO treated it and see if there were any leaks. None.
Anyway, they held tight to the price, but I think it is a really good deal for a great truck. I can pick it up on Wednesday. here are some of the details:
2002 Dodge Ram 2500
$23,000
Mileage 33,375
Engine 5. 9L I6 (HO, I think, can someone confirm??)
Crew Cab/Quad Cab
6speed Manual Transmission
4X4
Green w/ Silver lower
VIN 3B7KF23C42M216197
Does anyone have any input as far as what to look out for? I will be getting gauges soon to keep an eye on the FP, and maybe EGTs, but I am not going to be pushing this thing at all and only tow 7K.
Thanks for all of the help and info from TDR.
I am pretty
