I use Peak and found that the rubber vent tends to stick shut from sitting on the shelf. I use a wire or similar to make sure it's open, then no leaks.

Just my 2 cents, I use Tractor Supply Traveller, that's the TSC's store label. 2 1/2 gallon jug, $7.00 compared to Blue Def 2 1/2 galllon for $12.00. The hose screws on nice and no leaks. Wal Mart's Super Tech i think the name is, is the same price and pretty much the same jug. Someone mentioned not squeezing the jug? I just hold it up and let gravity do it's thing. You squeeze it, it will squirt just like a baby.
That funnel is not for DEF purposes.....
Adding from a can, it opens the second flapper in the capless fuel systemso what is it for? Honestly,,, my truck is without an owner manual and I am looking into getting one

adding what from a can into where ? I suppose diesel additive into the fuel tank? It didn't fit very well into the DEP fill.![]()
Oops, in correcting a spelling error, I accidentally deleted "fuel". It's for adding fuel from a can.adding what from a can into where ? I suppose diesel additive into the fuel tank? It didn't fit very well into the DEP fill.![]()
Funnel??? Thanks for the hint. I went out and searched around our new truck and found it under the passenger seat. Nice to know it was there but I already made my own to fill diesel from a can. Works great - the spout of the can fits perfectly but would not fit in the white plastic funnel!I is for adding diesel fuel to the truck from a can. As stated it holds the two flaps open. SnoKing
Yep. I wanted something other than those crappy plastic (save the environment cans) that spill and leak. I was also going to store and transport a lot exposed to elements. Wanted something first rate. Do a search for railroad approved fuel cans - will have to look around for best price. You have expensive taste in fuel cans. That being said ,you can’t go wrong buying the best.
