Thanks, TDR Staff

Competition A T P A Rules

Competition which dd clutch for pulling

The Mighty Mac is a nice sled, and will pick the wheels off the ground, if you pull it far enough, as Justins video shows.

But the video also shows, the weight box is the whole way up at about the 250 mark, and the wheels of the sled don't come up for a ways farther.

And I can attest to it being a reasonably hard drag hooked to that sled. It started my year of carnage in 02. :{

The video also shows the difference in 350Hp to 1400 HP, and everywhere in between!

I'm afraid the era of stone boat sleds is over, as these seem to be handling the task quite nicely.

Whos lifted Dodge was that??

Schieds Truck Is Awesome !!!!

the lifted dodge seemed to have alot of power to bad he could'nt get it to the ground

NOT MAKING EXCUSES but it seems... ...

Mitchels WATER/METH wasnt working (NO BLAST OUT THE GRILL)

Not sure how much ground that caused him to lose if any Its just that every time I have seen him pull with the new paint the water/meth goes off .

THE MIGHTY MAC that sled was at the last pull I went to

I do have to say the sleds almost always break but these PLOW BOYS seem to hold together better.

I wish they could SHUT THE PLOW OFF and just add more weight to try to stop em' at the pre300 ft mark

But I can see how---- no lauch weight and gaining speed to an abupt stop would be more entertaining than watching the truck PULL

WHERE WAS ERIC STACY ????

DM

poor brandon (joefarmer-DTR) he has the worst of luck

IF I WAS TO USE REAL LIFE TESTING TO DESIDE WHAT TRUCK TO INVEST IN I WOULD DEFINATLY WANT RESULTS ON A PLOW SLED/TUG SLED/AND TRANSFER SLED

If Dave's water injection wasnt working it would have melted the engine in seconds.

That was a good run by Dave.

Kent had several more mph on sled speed than Dave did.

I guess that low end torque didnt help.

Did you watch the same video that I did? Nobody who had the power to turn their tires came to an abrupt stop. Most of those pulls were very smooth.

And I already explained, there is plenty of weight there. Unless you own stock in a clutch company, or enjoy seeing tires smoked off the rims, or busted parts, which all result in NO PULLS, there is no reason to go backwards in sled technology.

We do have a pull in western PA that uses a stoneboat, they keep adding weight, and you pull all night until you can't move it.

I'll be sure to post it, it sounds right up your alley, just one step away from horse and pony pulls. ;)

Stone Boat ?? IS that A real Trasfer Sled ??

The Mighty mac was very smooth

At the fair when they were pulling it ,,,,it may have had a worst operator it wasnt so smooth. (BACK TO A PREVIOUS POST IT HAS ALOT TO DO WITH THE OPERATOR)

Wierd angle of of the action probly just could'nt see the BLAST

I Bet that operator held the brake like we used to... . LOL

Just Kiddin'

When it comes to a Race/Pull HIGH BRED SCHIEDS TRUCKS HAS IT HANDS DOWN

I like action... ... ... . The horse pulls are just about as borring as watching a pro baseball game on TV

Thinking... ...

MAybe Scheids truck had a few zombies under the hood helping it go

That Pull sounds like it would be Great to watch KEEP ADDING WEIGHT TILL THE BIG BOYS CANT MAKE IT OUT THE GATE... . now thats pulling

Not these FLOATING FINISHES :{

What A blunder

DM

DiD I Start Something else... ...

Man what is my problem

FLOATING FINISHES = Horse Shoes and Hand Gernades IMO

I may be dumber for having read all DM's posts... . I'm not sure, but I think that was 30 minutes of my life I will never get back (took me that long to decode most of them... had to go open a new box of Frosted Flakes to get my super secret english punctuation ring out so I could figure out what he was saying).

Here's what I learned:

1. If you're not pulling on DM's sled, you don't have any power. . no matter what.

2. Dave Mitchell should apparently be my "American Idol. "

3. DM is proud of the fancy lights on his cab... sounds kinda ricer-esque to me.

You can sure tell this is the Competition Forum

:>

DM

1. Not my sled ... . Any real sled

2. DM... I mean Dave Mitchell not DieselMinded ... imagine that... OOPS..... CATS OUT

3. I like my lights but Im sure if you had em' they would be better

1. Oh yes, forgot your "websters definition" of a real sled. My bad. I do apologize.

2. Either way, I'm good with it. You can be my idol if you'd like. I have lots of spare time to worship you.

3. You're probably right, but then again I'm all go, no show, so they don't really fit in with my plans. You could change colors at x-mas time though and be jolly w/ green and red all over the place!

I was thinking more along the lines of strobes

DM

There ya go, now we're thinking outside the box!

I got it! How's about we strap a reindeer to the hood w/ the green and red lights on top, then you can just consider yourself santa!

You can lead my slegh any night

People would be sure to get out of our way

Dont worry tho all the real slegh pullers will be pulling the load so you can just pretend... just like real life

Thats because you didn't take his early advice, and steal Staceys truck, and book it to the coast, and the zombies ate part of your brain. Or, you did take his advice, and stole Staceys truck, and the zombies caught you, because Stacey only has one gear-unless you tear it apart and switch them!

Maybe Zombies allow time to change drop box gears, I don't know, under the caution, perhaps, I haven't watched that many zombie movies.

Are modified pulling trucks the getaway vehicle of choice in horror movies?

Or the real question, what exactly is in the water, in Perry County, Ohio?

Let me go out on a limb here- Diesel Minded is really Chris, an EEP employee, and he's messing with us!!

No, thats not right, because Chris would want a BBC Chevy to make the run to the coast... ... .

(csevers, be sure to mention this to Chris. )

Cabin fever is getting worsssstt... ... must. hook... . to... a... . sled!!

You have to act like your a zombie then you can do it... ... if you lose your cover your done

If I was in them it would be ... . I guess it would be smarter to take a cummins dragster,,,,,,, but with no 4x4 it would be hard to go OFF ROADING to miss all those FORD boys who are blocking the road as they are in the process of being eaten... plus the BIG BHAF OUT THE HEADLIGHT AND THE WEIGHT BAR would make good zombie catchers

Or the real question, what exactly is in the water, in Perry County, Ohio?

SULFER

1 : a nonmetallic element that occurs either free or combined especially in sulfides and sulfates , is a constituent of proteins, exists in several allotropic forms including yellow orthorhombic crystals, resembles oxygen chemically but is less active and more acidic, and is used especially in the chemical and paper industries, in rubber vulcanization, and in medicine for treating skin diseases -- see ELEMENT table

gene i am finding the entire thread amusing! from transfer / plow sleds to the zombies. lmao! since we are talking about opinions here. i have always felt that the truck that pulls the "sled" (no matter what style) the furthest had:

a: the most power

b: the right gear

or c: knew how to drive the best

for that track. but that's just my opinion.

lol

later

Why do some people keep turning the wheel side to side as they pull ??? do they really think this helps them progess ??

I always thought the shortest distance between 2 points is a strait line.

DM?
