Now see this is why all these fancy interiors are a bad idea. An old truck a real MAN's work truck with rubber floor mats and plastic seats would never have an issue with a leak or three... We've grown weak my friends

Lol. I think you're drawing the wrong conclusion. There is nothing wrong with having a fancy interior. It's quite unacceptable if Ram trucks are coming from the factory with insufficient weather-proofing. FCA should get off their butts and fix the leak rather than downgrade the interior.

I haven't noticed this problem with any other 4x4's or pickups.

2013 Ram 2500 HD. Third brake light was curved. Truck flat. The gasket wasn't even compressed in the middle as you could see the dirt under the gasket. Wet on far passenger side and far driver side. replaced under warranty. Once the mold started, replaced carpet and shampoed upholstery, fumigated under warranty. Traded it immediately. You buy Ram for the Cummins, nothing else.

It is most likely leaking at the CARGO LIGHT ON TOP OF THE BACK FACE OF THE ROOF. Many RAMS had this problem from the factory. Our 2014 Laramie crew cab 3500 had back carpet etc soaked. They replaced light, seat pillars, seat belt holders etc due to rust.

Certainly sounds like I'm gonna pull that light off next time I'm working on the truck..
Anyone make a thicker gasket? Not really a fan of a permanent fix like silicone..

Silicone is not permanent. It can be pealed off the paint and light leaving no trace. I did not remove mine to seal it. I just went around the perimeter of the light. Silicone does not do well in sunlight so i plan to recaulk mine every couple years which i am about to do now.
The issue with my crew cab is the roof ridges funnel the water right into the light if parked slightly uphill. The water gets dumped right in the largest gap in the center of the light. The gasket supplied from Ram is CHEAP and will eventually fail and become powder and pieces. That foam will never hold up and is comically crappy. The light is further from the roof in the center and tighter on the edges. This creates a lake effect and the water is backed up putting slight pressure on the gasket. The pressure forces water into the light then the roof.

I might give it a try then.. I live in AZ where there is more Sunlight than you need and not much rain. However the truck sees the carwash on a regular basis as the Basic wash is only $3.00. With a good coat of wax basic is all I need to get the dust and bugs off.

This is old, but if you haven't yet pick up some damp rid packs and hang them. It'll pull any residual moisture out of the cabin and help prevent fogging and frosting on the inside of the glass as well as kill any musty smell from the moisture.

I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the advice.
No problem. You'll be glad you picked them up. I've used 2 since I picked my truck up because I have the leak around the brake light and it's been either freezing, raining, or snowing and I haven't had the time to repair the light yet.

Alrighty, so for those of you on this thread and those that will look later...... I FINALLY FOUND MY LEAK!!!!!.

A while back I did the back seat mod for my crew cab and then a few months after I got in a wreck and had the back wall of the cab and bed damaged. Work was done by CarMax and it was a few months later before I realized there was a hole where something should have gone.

Not knowing any better I took some wire mesh and flex seal and sealed off the hole. Fast forward a few years.

Since this post started I found that the sat antenna had a leak as well as my 3rd brake light, both of which I sealed with industrial sealant and called it good. Few days ago we got another heavy rain and it's still raining and low and behold I actually have water leaking between the back can panels onto the carpet, down into the storage area from where there are cab exhausters that relieve cabin pressure at speed (ps. They also seal the back of the cab and keep water out!!!!)

I replaced mine from the dealer today, added a bead of silicone to prevent it falling out or leaking and now the waiting game starts.

I can post part number and pictures if anyone is interested.
