Now see this is why all these fancy interiors are a bad idea. An old truck a real MAN's work truck with rubber floor mats and plastic seats would never have an issue with a leak or three... We've grown weak my friends

Silicone is not permanent. It can be pealed off the paint and light leaving no trace. I did not remove mine to seal it. I just went around the perimeter of the light. Silicone does not do well in sunlight so i plan to recaulk mine every couple years which i am about to do now.
The issue with my crew cab is the roof ridges funnel the water right into the light if parked slightly uphill. The water gets dumped right in the largest gap in the center of the light. The gasket supplied from Ram is CHEAP and will eventually fail and become powder and pieces. That foam will never hold up and is comically crappy. The light is further from the roof in the center and tighter on the edges. This creates a lake effect and the water is backed up putting slight pressure on the gasket. The pressure forces water into the light then the roof.
This is what I used on mine. We see some real heavy rains and it's held up well so far.

No problem. You'll be glad you picked them up. I've used 2 since I picked my truck up because I have the leak around the brake light and it's been either freezing, raining, or snowing and I haven't had the time to repair the light yet.I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the advice.
