Nitrogen doesn’t expand as much as air as it heats up, therefore you get better fuel mileage, or so the theory goes. If you buy tires from Costco they inflate them with Nitrogen. My selling dealer put nitrogen in my tires, so I was told. The negative with Nitrogen, is its not readily available. I have a Nitrogen tank in my company HVAC van, and my own tank as well, as well as the adapter for the air chuck.

I have access to nitrogen as well, the company I work for has its own air separation plant and electric power plant. I have 160 psi of PURE nitrogen piped into the plant via 6" line at my disposal every day. Works great on the 1" air impacts when your trying to bust loose over 100- 1-1/2" studs that's been heat soaked at 800 degrees for the last 15-18 months.

As far as tires? I think the 78% or so N2 my air compressor compresses is good enough. o_O

I was told that nitrogen would stop the highs and lows with the weather but dont really know if that is true,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,..........I know psi is most critical with the trailair airbag and just a couple of pounds difference will affect the ride big time what gas can I put in the airbag that would not change PSI with the ups and downs of temperature?????????????????

Temperature pressure relationship is what you look at. Helium in a liquid form is extremely expensive, even though I think you were joking. I also have worked on the chillers that cool the condenser side of a cryogenic system that cools the MRI magnets, and uses helium as the refrigerant.

Stuart, I just pulled my 5ER to Lexington KY about 350 miles from my home. I ran the front tires at 55 PSI and they did not blow up nor did they over heat. By my IFR gun the fronts were around 70F.

I am just say use a tire load inflation chart for your tires. All the front tires need to support is the front axle weight which accordingly to your weight sheet is less than 5500LBS.

My front axle loads for my truck are under 5200 LBS. This is why I can use 55PSI for my tires!

Stuart how many vehicles have you ever looked at"hot" tire pressure? If this is your first, my question is why start now. It's seriously not an issue. At all.

As far as helium, in case you are really wondering helium has a leak rate almost 3 times that of air. We did a pilot plant for Toshiba one year, Hydrogen/Electric, all piping had to be helium leak tested.

Similar to R12 vs. R134. The R134 molecules are smaller and can tend to migrate through a rubber hose easier. I would assume the newer AC hoses are a different material from the old R12 hoses.

okay boys it is 7:14 a.m. the temperature is 54° and we have the front store at 80 and the rears are at 41 wow pretty consistent but yeah here's a little picture so 80 and 80 4141 4141 take a look Boise.

funny thing I remember a guy told me a few years ago when I used to run my I had a suburban a GMC suburban remember guy told me oh you can run those tires at 60 PSI if you want but he said most tires can take usually 1/3 more so if it's a Max of 100 if the tires of says a Max of 80 psi cold it means that tire can easily handle 110 so all right guys but yeah that's our little update for this morning talk to you guys later have a great day.

Get those rears to 45 and turn that display OFF!!! While traveling occasionally check the pressures and other readings. THEN you will know what "NORMAL" is.

Contact GY or another tire manufacturer and ash if what you are seeing is "NORMAL". They wILL tell young is!

I just wanted to give you guys an update we are in lavonia Georgia tonight and we are believe it or not we're cracker docking as they say to wear cracker barrel and we're docked and we got almost a full moon maybe it's close to full moon or a little bit past but I'm going to take a little picture guys here you go so we're cracking the docking and lavonia Georgia isn't that nice.
