hey guys I have not been on the form in a few days I am in Tampa Florida past several days I was in Naples Florida but I'm in Tampa Florida now and I'm at The lazy days RV resort it's got 299 spaces but we just had a huge storm last night tornadoes and all that but not close but a few miles away so the truck's been great the RVs been great a couple of things broke that I had to get fixed but you know this is part and parcel of buying an RV I'm sure and the ACC the adaptive cruise control save me from getting in a wreck the other day it really works and I would advise anybody else that's looking at buying a new truck in 19 or 20 whichever to get all the high-tech pissed off because it hit the brakes so fast faster than I could have probably have done it when I was in about a 30 mile an hour traffic on interstate 85 south of Charlotte North Carolina but the ACC does a really good job all right guys just wanted to keep you updated and here's a little picture of it the RV resort resort we stayed in in Naples Florida is called The mitten Neapolitan cove RV resort in Naples Florida that's where we stayed at all right have a great day guys just wanted to keep you in touch by the trucks doing great Holland doing great and I'm let's see it's 81° right now in my fronts are at 88th and my backs at 45.

I must say when you see the above sign you know you're in Florida so welcome to Florida guys snakes and alligators all my snakes and alligators all my snakes and alligators oh my.

I have a very large problem guys and I'm using voice to text so if there are any mistakes so well with the truck in the RV I was on the road about five times I've had to make some very hard stops and the truck and the RV or developing a kind of a pogo wing or a bouncy kind of movement on the trailer now I'm thinking that it is the trailair PIN box bouncing down because the brakes on the RV are not strong enough now my truck has the brakes on light electric so I'm going to switch them over to heavy electric and maybe that will fix the problem or I've already made an appointment tomorrow to change to the more are not more air to mor ryde pin box mor ryde pin box to see how that works but before I do that I'm going to try the heavy electric setting on the the truck the heavy electric setting for the brakes so if you guys know anything anybody that has a 2019 when I have a trailer connected it is very very very you can't the the the brake pedal is very mushy so but I've made about for a 5 very hard stops and it develops a bouncing pattern The bouncing motion but as soon as you get off the brakes The bouncing stops and I doubt it's the anti-lock what anybody's got a 2019 please chime in on this cuz I'm at a loss for words on this one bouncing but I think it's the trail are bouncing down when I think it is I don't know I'm not sure?????????????????

Well the trailer should brake itself, should even pull the truck back.
Your sounds more like the trailer wants to over run the RAM that tries it's best to brake the trailer..

Yes I have the brakes on lite electric we shall see if putting them on the heavy electric setting helps ????????????
I don't know if they are pulling back on the truck to any extent at all?????????

Talking to you yesterday, changing to heavy electric will be your best bet. You can always try the MorRyde pin box later. My system is a little different on my 2014 ,but I still have it turned up to about as high as it will go .

Ok guys I put the setting on the Dodge 2019 I put the setting to heavy electric and I took it for a test ride this morning about 10 mi yeah what a difference it stops like a it really stops well now so it's possible that the brakes were not even really on the trailer doing that much but yeah what a difference it rides better rides better but it stops way better I had a few times where it didn't even really want to stop so yeah I guess now it's on heavy electric and I can feel that trailer pull back when the truck a little bit not that much but a little bit and the The bouncing I was feeling I guess that was caused by not much trailer braking but yeah now it's really breaking well also thanks for the tips guys and yep that's another little option that save me some money.

:)
okay so the brakes are now set on the Dodge ram 2019 3500 are now set on heavy electric and if I wasn't making it clear in the previous post what a difference it stopped so much better it's like night and day all I can say is the difference from light electric to heavy electric is astounding it stopped so much better guys thanks for your help.:):):):):):):):)

Adjust the "GAIN" up or down to get the braking where you like it.

FYI, it's NOT a Dodge it's a "RAM"

Stuart fill in your public signature. Like mine below, it will help with future posts.

It sounds like the 2019 is different then the older ones . yes I can adjust as needed , sounds like the new ones have light electric, and heavy electric.

My '19 works just like my '15. Set the trailer up in the EVIC for brake type, light or heavy, and starting point for gain, and then tune the gain with the + and - on the dash by the trolley brake.

Stuart, you must have been stopping with both feet on the brake pedal, as my toy hauler is only around 16K +/-, and once I forgot to select it in the EVIC after using a lighter trailer, so it was set to light, and it about pushed me through an intersection before I realized what I had forgotten.

Thanks. Now I know what the OP is talking about, never messed with mine except the gain.

Stuart, now you know what I meant with the phrase "trailer pulling truck back"?
It feels like it wants to lift your front axle a little instead of pushing it to the ground.

yes I understand all I did was switch it to heavy electric brake I didn't do any of that other stuff this other poster was talking about I don't even know how to do that right now but overwhelmingly it stops much better and his stop that feeling of like bouncing bouncing feeling when you have an emergency stop but yeah it's working really good now though.;):(:(:(:(;);)

Ok I now have it on heavy electric and it says it is + 7 as far as the break strength so I've got to work through all of this and get it to where it just didn't leave the RV basically gently pulls on the truck a little bit and that is that very spit stops itself but also pulls back a little bit on the truck so if anybody on here has a 2019 3500 give me some help and I would appreciate it guys thanks so much you all have a great day.
