Aw never mind.
I am going to have my lawyer maybe write something up should I decide to try to get my money back from Anderson to be very Frank I don't even want to sell them anymore and I've sell them and I've sold some of them with good results but those are always on short beds trucks six and a half foot bed.
Stop it......NOW.What does the size of the bed have to do with anything? The hitch is still the fuse in this scenario. Length of the bed has ZERO impact on the hitch weight or forces involved.
I did not know that that picture just tell a thousand words it's got built-in Hi-Tech engineering and crumple zones like your latest Mercedes or Toyota or Honda outstanding that's a better selling point now for me to tell others about it's got built-in crumple zones and instead of destroying your truck it allows itself to be destroyed wow that's a new selling point thanks guys I didn't know about that now I can even still more than 5 a week.
Look at ANDERSEN’s silly crush test video. Maybe they should do a fore and aft test more like the real world.
I was obviously kidding about the crumple zones schmuck.
The way it is mounted is similar to Class8 trucks, that is a connection for such a heavy trailer.
The Anderson, to me, is something like for pull once a year a trailer over to the neighbors farm...
Just found this nice picture for Stuart....

Questions?
What ever happend to it - it shouldn't look that way.
That picture has been floating around the forums now for about three years. The Andersen was redesigned because of that . Get an up to date picture showing any problems with the Andersen, not that I am defending the Andersen, its just that the entire facts need to be out there.
Crazy thing here is if he would have shimmed that bed, most likely you guys would have had to find something else to beat someone up about .
Although its the style of Andersen I would not buy, I do have the four point rail mount steel version of the Andersen. There have never been any issues with the steel version, and pretty sure after the redesign of the Aluminum version, there has been no more issues there either. "Please" feel free to post additional up to date pictures if so, just have not heard of any "recent" issues. As said that picture is "old" news .
That photos shows it’s the Anderson Ultimate Connection2, which is supposed to be the redesigned hitch.
Don't think so, they redesigned the hitch, after that episode. I may be mistaken , but its the same picture I have seen several times on other forums. It did not come apart, nor was there any damage to truck or fifth wheel, just the hitch . As said not defending what it did, just stating what I know, I was wrong once before
I can see everyone jumped on the bandwagon as soon as he mentioned the dented bed, like I told you so. He does need to shim that hitch, and that will probably help the situation .
I think it would warrant some additional info, as I understand the AUH2 to be the upgrade for folding. They don’t talk about a 3rd redesign.
