Dealer Problems
I have 68K and other than DC and dealer problems (several) the truck has been very good.
Dealer put on wrong over sized tires. Less than 15,000 miles and 4 flats, two in one day.
Out of round steel wheels -- DC
Oil filter leaks after each oil change -- Dealer
Auto transmission case leaks after oil change. Dealer changed seal twice, couldn't do it right the first time.
Front and rear pumpkins leaked after oil change. Took twice to get it right.
I had problems starting -- told the dealer it was the injection pump. They said the injection pump was good, but it was a bad lift pump, fixed it. Two days later it was towed to the dealer for a bad injection pump -- at 36,000 miles. I again asked and the kool service writer said they just routinely change the lift pump hoping it was the problem becasue the injection pump is so expensive to replace
At last dealer oil change asked to make sure filter was on tight. . . See my post "Blew an Oil Gasket too" at bottom of page

I had "Big O" turn the rotors and put on heavy duty pads at 20K and just replaced them at 60K.
Other than Amsoil all around, the thing keeps drinking diesel a few times a month... . it does not use one drop of oil

and gets about 16 mpg in town per computer and 19 to 24 mpg highway depending on the speed and agressive driving.
Needless to say I don't go there anymore and we will buy a 2003 from another dealer.
