Prodigy is a "plug and play" quick install. Relatively cheap. Works very, very good. BrakeSmart is more expensive, had some delays initially in shipping, but has had good reports.

Be sure if you have electric over hydraulic brakes that you get a controller specifically made for them. The Prodigy does not work with them.

I've got a lot of miles on my Prodigy, towing 15K. I like it and I am not looking to replace it anytime soon. It can be installed by anyone if you get the Dodge cable with it (many on-line shops will throw the cable in free) and the installation time is around 15 minutes.

Do a google search (www.google.com)

You can find Prodigy controllers from around $100 to $150.

Look for deals that include the Dodge wiring harness and free or cheap shipping. Also look for out of state suppliers that don't have to charge you state tax.

Deals are definitely out there.

I have both ramp timed units which applies the same amount of brake over a given time any time you hit the brakes (IE the DrawTite) and the inerita brake controllers (the Kelsy Hayes) and now have the BrakeSmart on 96 and 03. The Brakesmart is direct propotion to the amount of braking you do, it measures brake line pressure, so adjusting from trailer to trailer or unloaded to loaded is almost nill. But they are expensive and unless you tow most of the time I would say the Jordan Ultima it uses brake pedal movement to adjust electric brake output. But for safty and all around best controller the Brakesmart hands down the extra features are awesome it detects how many brake axles and alerts you if(when) trailer becomes disconnected. It also has volt meter time date and the abilty to add EGT (not sure if the parts are available yet or not though)

I got the Hayes Synchronizer (ramp-time) because I wanted to mount it on the side of the 6 speed shifter console with velcro. The inertia models can't be mounted sideways because it interferes with the pendulum.

Check ebay, there is usually someone selling Prodogy's (New in the box) for $99. 99, including shipping!

brakesmart here. plug and play for the ost part, have to tap into the brake MC. LOVE it and will never go back to prodogy. no hassle at all with the Brake Smart

a bunch more expensive, but well worth it in my eyes.

Not to interrupt you but where did you get it for $85 delivered. I will be all over it! thanks baron

I got mine from a guy on Amazon.com but I don't see him on there anymore.

A buddy got his from a guy on Ebay and paid less than I did and he loves it.
