I've added a little power to my 2003 HO with automatic transmission, but not near as much as some others in here. Yet, after only 120,000 miles the rear U-joint is loose. Can anyone recommend something better than stock for a replacement? Is there a stronger spider I can just swap in, or do I have to replace the yokes also? What are the different options?

is the yoke loose in the housing or are the u-joints shot ...

good link Andres ...

the thread stated that autos/sticks are different ...

rear ujoint went out in the wifes '06 at 56k yesterday but the local dodge garage warrantied them anyways ... .

does anyone have a manual trannied u-joint part # ... greasable if possible

I used Napa's joint for mine when I changed it. They are greasable. Don't know if they are better, but it seems to be fine. Didn't have the time to change all three of them. I was on the road and it was a hasty repair job while I was on leave. Scotty

sounds good in theory ...

but i've never broke a u-joint

and

having one go out at 52k on a truck that rarely tows and is stock leads me to believe otherwise ...

wifes '03 needed two replaced before we sold it also ...
