Big Single or Twins?

Royal, I was in the same situation as you are a few months ago. I must have read over a hundred threads and posts on t/c's & v/b's from the TDR and DTR before I made my final decision on who to call. I called two places and ended up going with Dave Goerend. He shipped his triple disk t/c and v/b out to me and I had a local diesel shop install it for me. The guy who installed it put a spring in the wrong spot and was causing the truck to shift firm. Ofcourse it took a few phone calls from Dave to the installer until it was figured out. Long story short Dave was pretty relentless calling me up until the problem was solved(Dave was ready to send me another v/b regardless if the spring was the problem). It's alot of money you'll be spending, just make sure it's someone that won't forget about you after it's spent.

First of all I want to make it perfectly clear that Bill does not want this post deleted or removed because we are not the least intimidated. We went the distance trying to help this guy with nothing but abuse to date and we won’t tolerate it anymore. For those of you that are wondering what is going on with this truck it is a hand control truck, this is not a new thing for us as we have done them before. Based on this customers email we paid to have this truck done 2 or 3 times. Finally Bill said no more, this is insane, the customer stories are conflicting and never the same about symptoms that only he could simulate and yet we tried to help him. The dealers were not able to simulate this guys complaints and he does not return phone calls so finally Bill said no more until he calls in and speaks to Bill personally

Bill had me chase him down on the phone, as he just wouldn’t call in. After a 5-minute conversation with him Bill realised the truck was hunting. We paid and paid and this truck was just hunting. That is why our dealers could not find anything wrong with the units as they went through them. We even used 2 separate dealers to eliminate the human error factor and completely different parts. So as it stands this truck has electronic issues and possibly even a PCM issue.

Mr. Cunningham got mad that Bill would no longer respond via email or take seriously the self-diagnostics he was doing that led us on a merry expensive chase, simply changing parts is not our style without proper diagnostics in the first place but we did it to try and facilitate him. . As we made it plain we were not going to respond via email it was made clear to us that these posts would happen and so they did. As a matter of fact he threatened to sign up for every diesel website and bad mouth and we still will no longer do diagnostics via email because he is too stubborn to call in. It did not help that we refused to give a free output shaft.

That about covers it for now. If this truck needs, electronics, pcm, fabrication to further facilitate his hand controls so be it, fabricate we will, this whole thing is absurd its not like we were not available for assistance right from the get go. So believe what you will guys the free ride is now over, we have helped many, many , guys but will not tolerate deliberate dishonesty.

  So what do I do, I was going to purchase a trans in the near future and I have spoken to DTT but now I wonder if I have a problem with my trans and it's not my fault am I going to be ignored ? or have to pay for anothers mistake?

Dtt and stephan has always done me good. I was getting ready for the diesel power challenge and i was practicing a 15 lb boost launch from a stop light, and pop goes the output shaft. ( stock one). They offered to do whatever it takes to get it fixed in time for the trip to Los angeles (in 2 days). I couldnt get the truck up to canada in the time i had, so I had a "friend" put in a billet shaft and rebuild the overdrive unit. Went to Diesel power challenge and took 3rd place, 630 horsepower on a 450 horsepower transmission with 37 inch tires. Trans worked great for what I wanted. The weekend after I got home from California I sled pulled and the truck pulled really well, then it shifted into overdrive and melted the overdrive unit and twisted the billet input shaft. It was my fault, I did not know when I bought my truck a year ago that I would be knocking on the 12 second door and 650 horsepower. I appreciate the job that DTT did and would recommend them to my family and friends. But for politics among my sponsors I will be going to J and H of redding for this rebuild. Steve

DP, I'd like some info about NADP transmissions, but unless I missed on where to click, there is no information about transmissions on that site.

One can vote for Miss NADP, though. :-laf

you have a pm Oo.

well there is no one on here that breaks more parts than me with only 400 hp. just pure abuse is all that i can say. bill and dtt alway helped me out. and you will never get any better service. i have a shelf of broken parts. 40psi 4x4 launches just for s**ts and giggles. if it is made week i will brake it. my truck is driven every day and i beat the **** out of it. there is over 50,000 very hard miles on my trans 2years of towing a dump trailer every day many times truck going over the scales at 27,000 lbs. the only thing that went in the last 2 years was the clutches it the dana 70 from all the weight. just remember to change your trans fluid as you chang your oil it is the life blood of your trans. keep it cool and clean and it will last.

Click on Dodge and then scroll down to the transmissions and torque converters.
