I was towing to a remote job site a few years back and when I got there, there was an old tank retriever (Army) pulling a Cat D6 out of a muck hole. That was pretty impressive.

I was mowing down weeds that were higher than my dad's JD 2840 with an old ford thrash mower. I was doing a fine jop till i found the leaky irrigation pipe. The back wheels sank right up to the axle. Ended up having to chain 4 wooden fence posts to each tire to get enough traction to get it out.



To this day I can't figure out why my mom didn't want me in the house after that

no real major damage [2 damaged lower motor covers, 10 broken 3/4" bolts that hold the pedistel liner wear blocks in place], but a massive ego bruse. funny though, you don't feel all that much when it goes off the rail. i just wish i got to see them rerail it, but that happened on dayshift

Oh, man Nick, I know how you feel!

We put a loaded high-pressure car on the ground during night shift. Pushed it right over the derailer.

We stopped it before the whole truck was on the ground. Almost had it back on tracks before the boss found out, but the frogs slipped, and put the car farther from the tracks!

Cost the company $9000. 00 to have Hulcher come out of Des Moines and rerail it. We had our own little investigation too !
