5th Wheel Safety?

From what i have heard and seen were have one of the best limited slips on the market. I needed something that would pull both back tires even when one was off the ground. When i go wheeling i have had the problem of not having any rear wheel drive because of the last limited slip. well the Detroit will fix that. As for driving in the snow if i do end up in the ditch it is probably because i was doing something that i should have not been doing. :D

I have heard good things about the Detroit so thats what i wanted to go with. I think that i have made the right decision but if i haven't i will sell it and get and limited slip. If Detroit was making the Electric lok i would have done it. That way i would had the best of both worlds but they don't make them yet for the Dana 80. ARB are nice but they are expensive and are prone to failure when you need them.

I've got only good things to say about Detroits. I've never had any problems with mine. I will break front axles from time to time, thats the weak link on my Jeep. With over 200,000 miles and lotsa time rock crawling, you cant go wrong. Tire pressure is the key to going down the road straight. 3 psi. difference in pressure on a locked axle will make you do a lane change when you least expect it. And you'll love the Detroit "Bang" that comes from the rear of your truck as you head into a parking space at the mall or go around a corner. Like I said before, tire psi. is the key..... oh yeah, rotate them at every oil change... or sooner. If not, your tire wear will not be even.....

Good luck on the mods...

Brian are you going to Brown valley next weekend ? I am...

[still want the headlight ?]

Don't think I'll be able to make it - still in the Police Academy. I'd still like the headlight - might be time to call in Brown (UPS) if it's ever convenient for you. Let me know if shipping isn't too much trouble and I'll send you a check.
