How are you guys getting ignition on power to your accesories?

What I did is got some "fuse taps" that are supposed to clip in on the fuse. The things is they don't fit well with Dodge fuse panels. My Jeep is the same way. They fall out after a while, and it just doesn't look like a clean job.

I'm looking for ideas on what I could do to run 3-4 accesories off ignition on power?

Don't know if you have power seats or not. I did not and it gave me a 30A circuit at the back of the fuse panel. I use this to run a relay set installed under hood and all additional circuits run off these relays. Relays are powered directly from battery with a feed and ground return circuit wired to batteries while being controlled with switches fed by the power seat circuit. All relays are individually fused with a new under hood fuse panel.

Well I checked and the power seat empty fuse has power to it with the ignition off and on.

I need just ignition on power. For a CB, my gauges, etc.

I normally have a cooler plugged into the cigarette lighter, so I'd rather not wire more stuff do that.

I have no problem taping off the fuse box, but the way Dodge designed the fuse box, it's really hard to make a good connection by doing that.

If you're concerned about current draw through the cigar lighter, just use it to activate a relay. Run your other accessories off of the relay (possibly with other relays, depending on how many accessories you need to power, and their power requirements).

There is a wire on the bottom of the steering colum (blue I think-I'd have to re-check my diagram) that is a true constant on ignition fee (meaning it won't shut off even when cranking the motor). I use it to feed my relays...
