Hey all

I just did my head studs, have the silver bullet in my hands but i want to lay down soem runs for a point of reference before i put it on. Anyway, Im looking for persons that have run this turbo succesfully and what combo they did the best power with (streetable manners etc... . ) Future holds a mitusa, cp3, and maybe a helix cam. Currenly i have a hotjuice/a2 setup. I almost went to the bd/tst but now all the talk of smarty (waiting to see results)

any help is appreciated

I am very happy with mine, my only complaint is that the thing is loud. I plan on going nuts with my truck, cp3, cam, big sticks and TST/Smarty stack, and I think this turbo will handle it all and more

hope this helps

I know some people have it... Its just quite a bit on $$$ - So the average bomber may not drop that on a turbo

Or for just a bit more gradutate to twins. Which is what I would rather do unless I was really competeing and didnt want to play with the big boys.

I love my silver bullet the spool is very good for a large turbo like this, the only thing that you might have to get used to is when this thing lights up it come's on hard so it'll take some getting used too. I'm running a tst with a crazy larry now I haven't got back to the track yet but with the tst and a little power pup I was running 12. 43 @107. 99 and didn't have my lockup switch or my fass set to 45psi. I really don't think you can go wrong if you are going to go big like you say you are.

I was ready to sell the a2 setup and get the tst with the bdcl setup but now smarty has me thinking

i am waiting on some results to make a final decision. I ll be hitten the dyno on monday to lay some before runs then put on the turbo and go back for the after runs.

i understand tst has a new box on the way just to operate with the smarty

That is what I am waiting to see. TST and SMARTY, sounds like the ultimate setup, put a Hyperpac on for the best monitoring and I think I will have a good setup, expensive though, but for now current Hot Juice and Attitude is doing a great job though. I think I will go after turbo, injectors, cp3, and cam in meantime. Keep the updates coming TST/Smarty users. Thanks for all of you guys experience

I think I wanted to post last remark in different thread, oh well.

Silver Bullet will soon be on the way for me, I feel its the best way to go for me anyone, it boils down to what you like or what you hear, A lot of good turbo(s) out there

A Hyperpac is a touch screen engine monitoring system. It has dyno, 1/4mi times, and pretty much read anything your ECM reads. One thing is with boost, rail pressure it can only read what the factory sensor limits are. They are supposed to soon be out for the 03-04 cummins, later date for the newer trucks. www.hyperpac.com

This wouldnt answer all your monitoring wants but just about everything. I figured I would run a boost, rail pressure, fuel pressure analog guages as well

I went with an sps66 last summer. Nice turbo, the silver bullet is supposed to be nicer. I called II about converting the sps66 into an sps62 and useing it as the secondary on a twins setup. II told me that the sps62 "pretty much makes towing twins obsolete" and the silver bullet makes race twins obsolete. I have been in trucks with towing twins and my sps66 (similar fueling) is a far cry from those. So I thinks Ole Poole or Piers will be getting my next check.

Thats what kills me. If thats true, I wouldn't mind seeing some proof in form of actual test data that shows a silver bullet that out spools-cools the set of race twins (a b1/b2 setup maybe?)

I have to say baloney to the SPS62 being as good as towing twins. I've heard that the silver bullet works great for performance. The SPS62 might make as much hp as towing twins, but hook to a trailer(tow), and head up a long grade at speed and compare egt's. I ran an SPS62 on top with my K31 and liked it. But it was a bit slow to spool for me.

They make a pretty bold statement with that for sure.

ok guys, i see what your saying, yes that is a bold statement. but i dont think that it was said like that. i know industrial makes a awsome turbo, accually several, but lets take the two highest hp 3rd gens. one is rccox 800+ w/ nitrous and twins---and a good set of twins at that, but very costly i think i was quoted 4-5000k for that complete set up of twins. now the other truck is brett williams of industrial injection he made 813hp or so @ may madness on diesel w/ a single silver bullet, and it retails for $2,200. big difference there guys. so while it may or may not put twins out of the lime light. the silver bullet makes power-------and has been pushed to 90+ psi, i dont know many twins that go that well. while the silver bullet is not the greatest turbo ever, it will out show most twins on the market to day, at a much better price, lets not forget it is also a direct drop in replacement too, most twins are pain in the butt to install, a twin turbo set up from I. I is right around the corner, and expect it to make a huge impact

when the sps 62 is combined with another good turbo the results are awsome in a twins set up. but in a single set up the sps 62 is the best for performance towing and cool egt's. glad you like your set up sounds pretty cool.

If they claim that twins are obsolete and not as good as their single, then why would they bother with building a set of twins?
