My turbo on my 6. 5 was real sticky and basically disfunctional. At this point many said "get a new one" (that was BD's recommendation--they are one hour north of me). Then I came across the TurboMaster and Forumed with guys who had em and loved em. I put one on my turbo and adjusted it to 12 pounds boost. I was only making 3 before! Twelve is about it on a 6. 5TD. The wastegate still functions fine but the TM forces the wastegate to work and sets a limit. Simple but good. The designer, Bill Heath has used an orifice for years on the 12valve and he did for me a couple of years ago on a 5. 9 motorhome I had but was developing the TM at the time for 12 valve. He is working on a 24valve TM now and many chip manufacturers are testing it as I write this. It seems to me to be a tool for those who want accuracy and repeatability. And simplicity. George
