I called US Customs to enquire about selling my Canadian truck south of the border. The only thing they told me was it had to meet US EPA regulations at the date of manufacture of the vehicle. No problem as the Cummins has a tag on it that states it meets these. After all it was made in St. Louis. Call US customs if you have any questions.

There are a number of outfits doing this in Washinton... they buy a dodge in Canada, drive it to washington and sell them. There is a guy in Alaska that sells them... . lots of them... cheap... . He does all different brands and such. I considerd it, but there are some warranty issues, especially if Dodge catches wind of it. A few years ago my Dad tired to buy a truck in Canada while driving south from AK. The dealer refused and said he could not sell to an American. It was a dodge rule, not us customs... .

I was shopping for a new truck and was told by the salesman if you buy a new Dodge you will have to sign a "non export agreement". I guess there are a lot of trucks being sold here and sent south.
