I've been searching many, many dealership's inventories thru Dodge's website, looking at 3/4 tonners. It is basically impossible to find a CTD with a manual transmission, let alone a Hemi with a manual. Evolution has obviously kicked in, probably 98% of American made vehicles are sold with Autos.

I'd like to compliment Tomeygun's dealership as being the only dealership that I came across with G56 equipped trucks in stock. Tomeygun's dealership also has some of the nicest equipped rides IMO. I searched hard in Upstate NY (Rochester, Albany and points north) to see if anyone had any trucks like I'd be in the market for. I believe the only one I found was at Adirondack Auto (the one I drove a month ago, which is an NV5600, with not the best of options). It also never ceases to amaze me how some dealerships order what could be great trucks, and then order stupid options, or a severe lack of good ones. Tomeygun has just about the "perfect" 3/4 tonner, in black with a G56. All she's missing is the clearance lamps...

I had the same problem when I was hunting for mine. Trying to find a 6 speed here isn't to bad but try to get it in the laramie package or short box and your crazy. I had to settle for a long box (which I love :D :D ) should have searched for that first. As a matter of fact it was the only laramie 6 speed NV5600 1 ton for 1000 miles. :--) I got lucky :-laf I am sure that if you ask Tommygun he can have those lights installed in the deal. If I buy a new truck I will be contacting him. He is the way to go around here. Corey

Maybe they shipped them all to Texas Oo. We have plenty here. I had no problem finding a 6 spd in everything from a stripped down work truck up to the FULLY loaded version.

And, I saw 3 Turbo Diesel Rams with 6 speed on the lot at Auge's in little town of Belen NM a week ago. I bet there are some in Vegas too, come to May Madness and find out!

I live in Texas and it took me 3 weeks to find a short wheel base 4x4 with a 6 speed. If I wanted a long bed, there were plenty with 6 speeds and plenty of short bed's with auto's, but the swb/6 speed combo was hard to find. And I wasn't even particular about the color...

i will be sealing the deal on mine tomorrow, was planning on waiting till the end of may,but the 6spds are disolveing fast, esp in the 4x4 trucks. starting looking the first of march, there were plenty 6spds back then. now with the new 6spd having been on hold[still ?] the older 5600 trannys started to go fast,i live in east texas, and searched a 150 mi radius...

Here in CA you can't even find a 6-speed to test drive. The manuals are order-only at every dealership I went to. Luckily, I ended up buying a '03 HO with 10k miles instead of an '05.

I know what you mean LDobie. I had to go to North Carolina to find my 6spd laramie Cummins. I couldnt find any upstate, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo... nothing. Good luck.

NO!!! :--) Just kidding.

I think they extended ordering until May 2. You might want to go that route.

Jim

God bless Texas and Missouri... NY and CA sound about the same, in the extreme lack of manual trannys. Go figure, they are both huge Blue states as well... :-laf

I'm going to hold off till the fall probably and order an '06 then, hopefully the new headlights are OK in person, love the new grill and interior, so I think everything will be allright. Also, I've got my fingers crossed that they might offer the new Magnesium color which looks so hot on the 300's. Maybe even 3. 55's since the G56 has different ratios. What is a little troubling is that I may order a truck without ever test driving a G56, due to the scarcity of them up here.

I guess it's just where you walk into... nowhere in SoCal could I find a CTD 4x4 shortbed with an auto to test drive, so I ordered it blind. A dealer 10 miles south of me had 19 CTD's on his front lot, and everything he had was manual.

I also had a hard time finding a 6spd. The on top of that I wanted a sport  . It took me probably about 10 horus on the computer searching , but I found a truck about 150 miles away and my dealer traded for it :D . Check dealer inventory yourself, because for some reason the truck I bought wouldn't show up at the dealer and I was there when he searched for it. Good luck Todd
