Does anyone know if the injector fuel connectors can go bad? If so are there any sound or noises that come from a bad one? I have had a slight tapping noise coming from my truck at light throttle. First I thought is was timing. Then replaced FCA,Cascade valve, replaced CP3, bought F1 40HP injectors, Now that I can tweak the setting on my smarty and stack with quad race pressure only I can really hear when turning up the rail pressure. Timing does not effect it at all. Its something between the CP3 pump and the injectors. Checked the pressure relief valve on the rail. That's not it. It seems to be tied to throttle position and only will make the noise once rail psi is over 13500 psi. Not really tied to RPM. Any thoughts?

Corrosion or improper installation are the two failures I've seen. Did you swap the injectors? Did you have any noise like this before the work?

it is most likely a loose blue colored clamp on the injector line you can tighten them all now or just wait for the line to break to see witch one is loose. you will not believe how much fuel that cp3 can put out and still run

The connector tubes can and do deteriorate, mostly from corrosion(bad fuel) and or leaks from improperly torqued tubes. Over torquing can misshape the tube's end that meets with the injector body, then leak. That high pressure fuel leak can carve a path into the tube making it worse.

As far as a loose tube making a tapping sound, that's possible, but I would think it would more likely be a loose injector line clamp. You will have 4 clamps, one each on #2,3,4,and 5, number 1 & 6 are not supported. The clamps have a little blue plastic insert surrounding the line, if they come loose they rattle and eventually break the line.

For whatever reason #1 injector line has a noticeable pulse, mine has done it since new, wrap a clean rag around it and squeeze, the tapping will diminish.

I would re-torque all my cross tubes and injector lines, and make sure the injector line clamps are tight(use locktite on clamps), see if that doesn't help.
