I've finally decided to lose my RV injectors and I'm trying to decide between Diesel Dynamics and Bully Dog. I'm running out of ideas for more power (propane system has been ordered). Thanks in advance.

I voted for BullyDogs. I run DD, but I have several friends with the BullyDogs and they do great.

Without the bullydog stuff, I doubt we would be getting the DD discount. Competition is good.

Don't have much perspective as I've only run stock and DD3's. I made my decision based on the many positive comments made about the injectors and the company. It may be that Bully Dog is newer to the market and hasn't had time to develop the following that DD has. I don't have a minute's regret about buying from DD (except maybe not waiting for the SuperMental injectors to come out :D) and have had excellent pre and post sales experience with them. BTW, the injectors perform quite well too. It's never been on the dyno, but the injectors alone shaved 6 seconds off the 0-60 time from a stock time of 13. 7 seconds.

I've been running the BullyDog 3's for about 6 months now, 0 complaints. In fact, I will being swapping out to BD 5's in a week or so, stay tuned for the report.

BD's for me

I've got the injectors but haven't installed them yet. As far as the company that I got them from, Advanced Diesel I have to tell you that they closed the deal over what was a pretty good deal I had for a set of DD II's. I hope to have the injectors in by September. I'm also planning on a new clutch, which is one reason for the delay. By the way I have a set of BD Stage III's. The deal I got was an offer I could not refuse :D

Competition or not,who cares about the price. Nobody but nobody has put in more research and testing than Diesel Dynamics!

Yep, thats probably true. But I look at it in this way. They sell re-badged PE products. Change a few parameters and label it with DD. Research on these? I'm sure they did. But would they have started from scratch? Maybe, maybe not.

Did BullyDog injectors start from scratch? maybe. maybe NOT!

We see this all the time. Not necessarily reverse engineering, but certainly companies benefit from other companies research, and so do we! There are too many people out there running Bullydog injectors not to have faith in them, also.

Injectors

I have a va and a boost module and elbow and I am planing on putting in a set of 275's to boost things up a little with out raising the egt's . Is that the right set or should i look a other injectors. Thanks

One Old Dog, I have just installed DD1's in my truck to work with my EZ and have been real happy so far with the performance impovement and EGT's seem to still stay below 1200 degrees although I have not tried towing with the new setup.

Hey BigSaint,

I almost bought a pair of Saints. I ended up with a pair of Siberians, both cool dogs  . All this injector talk is making me drool. Let me know what you plan on doing with your old injectors. Sam

DAWG-1, I agree on the dogs. I had a friend that had a Siberian, one blue eye, one black. Really cool dog and also great with kids. Good thing for you is, less drool. I knida stumbled into the Saints', had to put a good old dog down and need a replacement after only one week. Saw an advertisement by a local breeder and the rest is history. Getting the second was a bit of a mistake as he equals a huge load in vet bills, food, maintenance, etc. But he's big and loveable, my girls think the world of both of the dogs and that is all that really matters to me. Anyway, the injectors have to go back to BD at this time if I'am going to take advantage of their offer. If they don't go back, I'll let you know.

What do you not like about the 275's? I have the EZ box and heard that they are a good combo with it. I was planning on putting in a set.

Okay,I'll run with this arguement.

Todd,

I hear Bully has all that propane and nitrous and stuff to get their truck up to 643hp. We all know DD doesn't believe in drugs to make power. *BUT* Let's not forget Diesel Dynamics' poster boy HVAC. He does have all that stuff and makes the same power as Bully's truck. I have the same thinking as "L" when it somes to making power... . diesel only,no drugs!

Rob,

I don't know what boxes have to do with an injector topic, but since it was brought up,yes,Lawrence did his own research and found the EZ has the wrong timing for his injectors. So as you know, his version has a different program. No other vendor researches things like that to make changes, they just throw it in thier own box the way it is.

Ramfan2,

I'm not unhappy with my performance... it's just that this bombing thing is a genuine disease. You just can't have too much power. :D Anyone interested in some RV injectors with about 7,000 miles on them?

Bully Dog's truck ran 644 with big doses of nitrous and propane. It ran about 480 on diesel only. Diesel Dynamics has a couple trucks that run over 600 hp on diesel #2 only, both 12 and 24 valve.

Todd, you are comparing apples and oranges here. Propane and nitrous are effective but bypass the normal diesel truck run mode. We might as well bring Don Garlits out here with his nitromethane powered dragster if any fuel is allowed in these comparisons.

Injector for injector, we need direct comparisons. When you add boxes, other fuels, and "creative reporting" there are a lot of variables. Quality control brings in another variable. How long do the various injectors last, and what warranties do they have? Lets see some direct dyno test comparisons.

Injectors?

Boxes?

N2O?

C3H8?

Personally I do not care what you use to get to the finish line first.

If you get beat by someone on Nitrous... . you still get beat

Second place is still a looser.

Well, once I get my new clutch I am getting new Injectors, but I am waiting for a comparrison..... on the same dyno.
