2003 Turbo Upgradeon

Break down 06 on freeway!

It looks like most of the attachments pre 2011 are not in the database -- there are some but not many. Beginning in late 2011/ early 2012 (a year prior to me) it looks like all of them are there from that point forward. I am not sure why, maybe some prior import/upgrade wiped them out. I will try to find out when a previous upgrade was made, and if a database backup from that time can be obtained. I'll follow up sometime Tuesday/Wednesday.

OK, I found the photos. I can't put them back in order on the original posts, but you should be able to figure out which photo I'm talking about.

Morning All.
I have a 2005 Ram 2500 5.9L Common Rail, all stock. I want to "pay it forward" for all the great info this thread gave for me to research, troubleshoot, and fix my truck.
I had a P 1223 code - High Fuel Return. After reading through the threads I changed out these parts: FCA, COV, fuel filter., APP, and had the computer flashed. Additionally I checked the common rail pressure valve. To which no luck on the problem
.
So I went to Industrial Injection and purchased 6 injectors and 6 crossover tubes, stock. $2300. And replaced these myself in 4 hours. This was the problem. The truck runs quieter, smoother, and cleaner.

For those of you trying to decide how to determine if your symptoms are injectors with this code: My trucks engine noise became louder and louder as time went by as well as surging, the exhaust was always black, longer crank times, cold idle was erratic / surging (not smooth and consistent), in park if I raised the RPMs to 1500 or above the Engine would sustain and increase to the rev limiter even when I let off the pedal, at 65 to 70 MPH the engine was surging like a transmission TCC lockup or Engine miss, and of course the dreaded code of P1223. Most of these symptoms happened prior to the WTS light and Code.

Just wanted to share and say thanks to all those before me posting so I could troubleshoot mine.

Bumping this thread to make sure it does not get archived.

To the mods: since we members are not trusted to edit our own posts after 24 hrs can one of you could fix the first post to reflect that a few pages were removed so the pictures are now on page 7 since there is no page 9 anymore?

Thank you for bringing the image issue to our attention. You got lucky and I happened to read this post. :) Staff isn't able read every post, so in the future to make absolutely sure you draw the staff's attention to a post:

1. Use the "Report" link under a post, and it will let you report the post/thread along with a comment.
2. Use the Contact Us link on the bottom-right of each page.
3. Post in the Website Suggestions / Comments / Questions / Announcements section since it is regularly checked.

As to trust, it is not a trust issue. It has to do with continuity. For instance, someone quotes a post, and later the post changes, making that person's reply to something totally different. Or if it were the first post, it might end up changing the topic entirely, making the rest of the thread seem off-topic. Or, if data is added to an old existing post in the thread, the thread has new information but the thread's last post date doesn't reflect this.

I apologize that this is occasionally inconvenient. If you have a solution to allowing unlimited edits which solves the above problems with it, we're open to suggestions.

Concerning bumping to prevent archiving, if you believe a topic is important enough, request it become a sticky. We'll review it, and if we stick the topic. Stickies are not auto-archived. :)

I'll take care of the page 7/page 9 issue later today, I have a couple of immediate tasks I need to handle first. Thanks!
