In order to change my injectors, do I need to remove my injector lines from the pump and the injectors, or can I just bend them aside to allow room to remove the injector bodys?

Also if I have to loosen the lines on the pump, do I need to hold against the DV's to prevent unscrewing them and lines together?

Yes you had better take them off and try not to bend them they come off very easy and the DV will not unscrew so don't worry about that

Take them off, it's not hard. I usually flush them out with some WD40 in a spray bomb with a straw, then blow compressed air through them. I do this right before installing them again just to make sure I don't have and debris inside. You'll also have to remove the return line that connects to all of the injectors and the banjo bolt on the top of the filter housing. Don't forget to get new copper gasket set with the ones for the return line as well. I usually try to have a few spare gaskets around for the banjo bolt on the return line to, it's a tight spot and can be easy to drop stuff.

Instead of getting the copper washers from Cummins, because they want $4. 66 EACH x 6. The return line Banjo coppers they want $2. 65 EACH x 6.

Go to usdieselparts.com and order an injector install kit for $10. 00. You get all 3 sizes of injector copper washers x 6, return line coppers x 6, and new dust sheild o-rings x 6.

ALOT CHEAPER even with shipping.

I just ordered 2 sets just to have a spare in my toolbox.
