I'm new here, so forgive me. Can the 91. 5 to 93 injectors be used in a 90 motor with those adaptors to go from the 7mm to 9mm? Thanks in advance.

Yes. The adapters take up the diameter difference. They also function as the sealing washers. They look like a "top hat".

Be forewarned, you will loose power if you go to the 7mm stock injectors. The older ones had fewer holes, but flowed more fuel.

My plan was to use one of the 'upgrade' injectors like the Bosch 190 with the adaptor. Would that be a benefit over my worn out stock injectors?

From what I have read and people I have talked to, the 185/190s flow about the same fuel as the stock nonIC injectors. You have some pretty hot injectors in there as it is- my 91 with a PDR HX35 would get into EGT trouble if I stayed in it with a load. Fuel had been cranked up 50%, though. I could peg the 40psi boost gauge with a 18. 5 housing in 3-5 gears.

bgilbert told me that PODs werent much of a power increase over his stock sticks.

The only issue with rebuilding the 9 mm injectors is that if for some reason you ever need a new cyl head those injectors will be unusable as the new head will be 7 mm.

Just something to consider.
