Chris,

I have the megacannon intake so I don't think that is the problem.

Boost numbers are about normal for my set up from what I have been told and yes the little smoke I produce clears right away.

My Isspro gauges have been fine to this point. I had a problem with my trans temp gauge acting eratically, Blair found a loose wire on the amp and it has been OK so far.

I will certainly keep this thread going as I progress through the problem. I really appreciate all of the suggestions that I have received here.

Cliffman and I installed the new 1. 6's that I received from Don today ( thank you Don & Bob ) and went on a test run. The EGT's were about the same as before and boost didn't change at all. Stopped over for the BPine seal of approval and we plugged the intake hose and pressurized the intercooler through the air filter hose... no leaks! We did find a couple of clamps that were not real tight. Boost max's out at 30 PSI at 90MPH and 1300°, Blair thinks I should be up around 35 - 36 PSI with this set up!

We know my pyro gauge is off by about 150° and adjusting the screw on the amp by the seat of the pants is not going to help get an accurate read. Maybe all of these Isspro gauges are off??? Gonna hook up a seperate boost gauge and see what that tells me.

Next step is a waste gated 14cm housing and ship the whole enchilada off to Piers to work his magic on it. If this doesn't solve the problem... . I may be driving a new Duramax before my next vacation!

Did Dave just say Duramax !!!!!!

10-4 good buddy he did!!!!

This is ridiculous, no way the addition of injectors and a new HX35 should make this truck run like this! for cryin out loud I only have 34K miles on it!!! :{

I had Piers do his HX35 upgrade on it and put on a 16 CM exhaust housing. I really cannot tell that much difference. It gets to 1200 degrees pretty quickly but then takes a tad bit longer to get past that. I had it at 100 MPH at 31 lbs boost at 1300 degrees!

I am going to take off my pyro and have it calibrated, we know it is reading high on the top end by about 150 degrees.

If it's just a pyro problem, I will be extremley happy!

Take a good look at your radiator from the fan side. These model trucks were known to blow oil out that not only covers the radiator fins but makes it thru to the intercooler also. If that's the case you'll need to remove both radiator and intercooler to properly clean them. A/C coil cleaner and a pressure washer work good. Ponz
