Couldn't decide which board to post this, because it relates to both... So, I'll take a chance here.
Considering what happened to my mother yesterday... It got me thinking. .
On gasoline vehicles, one of the most simple and effective theft deterents is to install a hidden switch "somewhere" that disconnects power to the 12v fuel pump. One of my better installations was a low profile switch mounted UNDER the carpet. It would have been next to impossible to find... unless someone happened to see you press the switch.
In the case of our Cummins... . I'm not sure what can be done... since the main fuel pump is mechanical. What circuit could be disconnected that would keep the Cummins from starting... Yet, it wouldn't disrupt the computer or anything like that.
What would you do?
