The truck I purchased has a Fass Lift Pump, the hose at the VP44 ends with a steel swedged elbow and does not use a banjo. So, If I want to install an electric fuel pressure gauge, I cut that hose and install a 1/2" barbed adapter with the 1/8" port drilled in it to hook up a snubber and the gauge sending unit?
This will not mess with the flow of the Fass Pump?
I see no other way to install the sending unit, there isn't another port on the pump I can use is there?
Thanks ...Gary

That would be fine. You could also also go off the bottom of the fuel filter, genos garage sells a fuel filter cap that is drilled and tapped for a sender see below. The vp44 puts out a lot of pressure pulses you might want to double up on the snubber (some use one of those small needle shutoff valves and close it as much as possible) or instead of hooking the sender directly into that T run some hose a few feet and put the sender over on the fender well or firewall the hose will help to a certain degree with those pulsations.

I am one of those that went with a needle valve off a tee that I cut in (Air Dog supply line with a barbed push lock tee fitting) just ahead of the VP and just cracked it open with the sender threaded into the valve. Even then I can see the gauge bounce some. I am thankful I installed the gauge cuz I wouldn't have seen that my Air Dog quite two weeks ago....possibly hurting my 2 year old Bluechip VP44. I ended up finding some crusty connections (grounds) and all is well now.

I had a digital electric fuel gauge. I went through 4 or 5 senders. I had it mounted on the canister lid from Genos, so water hammer should not have been the problem. Senders were about $35 apiece. I switched to a mechanical with a needle valve. No more problems.
