I would also like a price for 2nd gen 24V. I could probably do a dyno comparison as well. Truck in signature did 505 with the comp and 519 with comp and smarty on #9. Torque was 1282 with smarty... .

The difference is enough to feel and the more power a truck makes the more difference there is. But I have not yet dynoed it back-to-back and no one else has either. All have reported an SOP difference and NONE have reported any form of loss in performance. I know some people just need numbers for it to make sense. Maybe YOU could provide them? Do you have access to a dynojet?

No access readily available - I hear ya though. Looks like maybe KKlingbeil could help out with the before and after dyno.

Appreciate the reply and once again nice product you manufactured to share with all of us.

I know its been a while since I updated this thread! We are proud to say our Tunnel Ram has helped VP fueled trucks break 700hp! and is used on a couple of the top 10 hp fuel only VP trucks in the world! Great job guys! Thanks you!
We now have 5 different models and cover 1st gen, 2nd gen 12v, 2nd gen 24v, 2nd gen 24v Ppump, and 3rd gen 24v. Thats '89 to '07. 5!

Bob,

Can you elaborate on the injector lines and how far they have to be removed. i. e. , disconnect from head, partial removal from the clamps, or the whole banana... removed from the pump too? I've only had mine disconnected from the heads as required for an injector change. The rest of the maze seems pretty daunting to me.

Thx.

I pull the lines off in 2 sets. Disconect at the pump and head and a couple of the bolts that mount to the plate. Do not take them off one by one.

You only have to remove the #1 line, but for best access to clean the gasket surface and ease of install, removing the lines completely in 2 sets as Bob suggests is a good method and may actually save time/effort in the long run.

Thanks Bob and DCreed for giving me encouragement - I'm tearing into it now! I bought one of these intake plates right when they first came out, but haven't had the time to install it... until now. I'm doing an air horn change anyway, and really wanted to get this in while I am working in this area.

Do you guys put the gasket in dry, or with sealer? Also, any sealer on the bolt threads?

Thx in advance

Got it inOo. ! All in all, not a bad job. First time I ever had the injector lines off at the pump, so that was a little tricky trying to find the angles with wrenches and crows foot. I used teflon sealant on all the bolt threads. All the injector lines are back on. Just have to final torque the manifold bolts. That one bolt near the #2 injector is pretty tough access - looks like a 6 mm ball nose hex bit is needed, which I didn't have, but ordered one. Awesome looking part - can't wait to get the truck running again and try it out.
