Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) interior door panel

Hey there greetings to all,I am have a arm rest on drive side is shot on my 01 Ram does anyone know what is needed to repace it? Thanks 6

I have had both left and right interior door panels off as I had some body work done to the bottom of both right and left hand doors. I don't recall seeing if any parts were replaceable or if you have to replace the entire panel. Panel insulation hid a visual of the inside face of the panels.

There are only two or three screws that have to taken off to remove the panel. It is held in by plastic clips that just pop off. Once you have the panel off you can pull the armrest off. Don't know where to get new one except the dealer.

I had my door panels off about a month ago to put power mirrors on. The armrest is held on to the door panel by posts that have been melted into buttons. You could probably remove the armrest by grinding off the buttons but then you would have to come up with a way to reattach it. Let us know if you figure something out, I may want to reupholster mine someday.

This is how my 02,s armrest is held on as well.
