I have an '03 Ram w/HO CTD. It has about 16K on the clock and I have changed the oil twice. The first time at 7533 miles and the second at 14,800 miles. I sent samples of the oil to Blackstone for analysis and both samples returned high potassium values indicating an internal cooalnt leak. The first sample was dismissed by Blackstone as a likely manufacturing "left-over" but the second sample had an increase in potassium thus Blackstone is surmising that I have an internal coolant leak. I have added several pints of coolant since new but didn't think that was abnormal. Does anyone have any experience with this? What is the likely culprit? My first inclination is to continue to monitor the situation and see what the oil analysis shows at 22. 5K. The coolant loss (if any) is likely so small it won't show up on the pressure test. Comments/suggestions appreciated.
