Happy Resurrection Day!

Tornadoes

Is the internet failing or what? I noticed that things have changed AGAIN on site, just wondering if it was on my satellite link to the outside world or is it the other end.

If it's on my side im NOT going to run outside with my aluminum foil conehead hat on and my makeshift coat hanger antenna and stand on top of a mountain with it stuffed up my A** Last time I got a nasty burn when lightning hit the antenna.

Or is it that the site or internet is being as temperamental as a woman every 28 days?

I seen a post on a tire question that I had and HH had responded to it and it must have fell into a dark hole under the computer desk!! cause I cant find the damn thing again.

BIG
Standing by drinking another one

I am having the same problem, you look at it and then "Poof, Gone.."

For example I saw this post on my phone, when I jumped on this laptop it was gone. I had to search your posts to find it again.

I am sending an e-mail to Robin.

You are not experiencing any technical difficulty up there in the woods....

Mike.

So when you read a post, then close out of it you can still see it in the post listings??? Big and I cannot.

"New Posts". When I finish this reply it will go away and that never used to be the case.

I know that you can go to the individual forums and find things that way, but if you viewed a post and then want to see it again, and can't remember what category or user name it was under then it's game over.

Now the only way that I found this after the above post was to go to my username and find my subscribed threads.

It did NOT show up under new posts after I posted (which it always used to do).

It is not a new post again until someone else makes another post! They are fine tuning maybe! I noticed a change a week or so ago.

Mike and Big;
I think that when you respond to the post and no one has else responded you will not see it under new post again. I have had this issue for many months. I can always go back and find it under the thread heading such as 3rd gen; but once someone else response to this post I can find it under the new post link again. It might be a filter issues or something else since it only happens to the post if I have responded and no one else has of yet. Make sense?

I find it a lot harder to deal with this way. My own post used to count as a new post, I should not have to go dig it out if I want to edit or add another reply.

Many of us count on the "New Post" as a quick way to keep up when we check the site many times throughout the day.

JMHO.

They have changed a setting. Sounds like it should have been before and never was.

The only thing now that seems to work in a similar fashion is "Activity Stream"....

A big two thumbs down from me.......change it back!

I agree with both of these statements! Jess

I would like to know what is going on with the new post tag. Up until about a week when I would use that I would get maybe 40ish max. Now when I use it there are 170. If I close out and come back like 30 minutes later and go back to new posts I get another 170 .

Dave

I just checked, I'm carrying 133 of them going back to 04/15/2014. I check this site at the least once a day.

I am wondering if they remain as "New Posts" until viewed??? My count is quite high as well.

They did not use to. I would check this site multiple times just so I did not see numbers like that. To read all those posts I would be staring at this screen for a week and mumbling like Joe Biden. Some of the new posts do not interest me or I have no feed back for the posts.

You are right, they never did build up until the setting was changed.....
