rlyons said:Over on the V/W diesel forum they are saying you can loosen the screws on the head and slide it out just far enough to expose the oring and cut off the old one, clean the groove and slip a new one on over the pump head and tighten the screws and you are good to go. I haven't tried it but they say they are even doing them on the side of the road. The pump is the same as ours except we have two more lines. They say the internals are not disturbed that way. Don't know but????

I looked at the breakdown schematics and think it looks challenging enough in a small messy shop let alone still on the truck! There are alot of parts in there, to include springs n things...
