I just got my notice in the mail today and have had my truck almost a year (Feb. 2000). My truck does not fall between the #56662576 - #56671920 serial numbers. Am I ok to keep the T-pump I have?

Yes there is a recall on certain Y2K lift pumps, mine was one of them.

Actually,to anyone with a 24v... keep an eye on your lift pump pressures wether your lift pump falls under a recall or not. They are all susceptible to failing. If you're not going to run a fuel pressure gauge on your truck, then borrow a pressure test gauge from someone or you can buy them for $12 at just about any place that sells tools.

Thanks for all the imput,I need to get gauges but for know I will get gauge from auto parts store,I am loosing fuel pressur I am sure cause when towing, bone stock It just like you let off of the fuel pedal, and then it picks back up again,I had it checked in Tennessee a few weeks ago at a cummins service center and by the way they checked it for free, not 1 dime,I thought that was great, but in was reading all most 0 at wot, about 2 at idle, but he couldnt get a pump for six days, and he said to baby it back home to michigan, and he said there may be a recall on them,so I made it,I just hope it hasnt took thr pump out too,I use additives,so I hope it is ok. .
