My 03 has 63000 miles on it. I had the transfer case yoke replaced under warranty because the plug in the end leaked. Other than that, the only problem I have is a knock I can't track down. I get 20 MPG, uses no oil to speak of, and runs great.

Quality of the work force. Its always been said the across the border trucks have less issues. Be nice if it was the other way around.

My '05 with 42,000 miles has been absolutely flawless. 90% highway miles with no towing. No performance mods and no plans for any. The wifes '07 has 15,000 miles and it has not had a single problem either. Ed B

I have a 2003 with 167k on the odometer.

I have replaced both front axle u-joints (one under warranty), a drive shaft u-joint, upper and lower ball joints, water pump and most recently, lift pump.

I don't know if you can call the above trouble-free, but given the mileage on the truck, I have no complaints.

94,000 mi on 3rd lift pump obviously a problem area from the mfg. Love my truck. It has been major problem free for 6 years. It has never left me dead on the road.

I would buy another in a heart beat.

2004. 5, 6 sp, 373 rear, 70K and counting. Have not be back to dealer nor fixed anything myself. It's trouble free & averaging 20. 8 month after month. Great truck, appears it'll be as good as the 97 was.

49k and no problems on a 2004. 5. Only back to the dealer for a the white smoke reflash. 14 mpg city/18 highway hand calc. Good truck, I just need a megacab now.

Pushing 60K & only mechanical issue was the transmission pressure transducer to make it down shift went out about 5K ago, but covered under warrantee. Sitll grinnin,

As of now i've put 30,000 miles since i bought it new 1 year ago. I've had no problems as far as running or beaking down. The major thing still to this date is the absolute awful mileage. Running empty and the speed limit 55 on 65 areas aroung here i'm still getting 12. 6 empty:--). If i bump it up to 70 mph it will get 10. 5-11. If i hookup my 38 ft toy box and run to pismo i get 5-6. 2 mpg#@$%!. That is no kidding! This truck as far as running and starting is great but still no mpg! Ive had it to the dealer and they have checked fuel pressure, turbo, fuel flow, ect. The truck has never thrown a code. And after the tech at the dealer driving it, he says that everything is within parameters. Still not satisfied i went to and independent shop in bakersfeild(performance diesel) and the did a complete diagnostic of the truck costing me $200 and came to the same conclusion as the dealer. They agree that the truck should be getting at least 16-17 running empty even with the lift. Have any of you got any idea what we may be missing:confused:? This is my 4th cummins truck and i never had a truck this bad as for mileage. If the truck doesn't improve real soon i'm just going to sell it.

On my 4. 5 with 74k the Cummins part has been fine. The Dodge part, well lets see, power window (wires broke) power door lock, door seal and backup lights.

Love both of my trucks and will only purchase CTD because their relatively trouble free operation considering the competition. :)

The only problem I've had was a failed lift pump at around 60,000. Was replaced under warranty with the in tank version and has been problem free since. Just turned 106,000 this morning. I have been more than happy with this truck.

I love my 2001, replaced lift pump w/fass 150. Just installed air bags & PacBrake thinking about edge w/attitude & possibly a new intake. Truck gets 20 MPG this time of year 22 mpg in the summer. truck has 78000 on it w/nv5600, can't hardly wait for new add-ons .
