Issues with Starting

2006, 189,000 miles, with original everything on the engine but the water pump. 1 owner.

Now, over the past few years once in a while, I would have a hard start. It wouldn't start on the first try, but easily started the second time . This only happened once every 4 months or so. Now it is doing this maybe once every 5 times I get in the truck, and sometimes it takes 3 tries.
I'm afraid it might be the Fuel Injector Pump. Or, a bad injector.
Any thoughts on this?? I cannot get it into a reputable diesel mechanic until the end of December, unless the shop has a cancellation.

Well, since there has been no feedback, I am left to the lack mercy, at a diesel mechanics shop. I got the results in, today. Several bad injectors, requiring a new set, along with lines, etc. They are also doing a valve adjustment. Lift pump good, CP3 is good.

Do - not - try to safe a Dollar at the Injectors. Get BBi now.

I've already ordered the New BBI .5 Injectors, and some new Bosch Injector Tubes. This is getting expensive, fast.

Wow, night and day difference between the old injectors and the BBI .5 injectors. Smooth, and much quieter.
Hopefully, this will take care of the hard start issues. Too early to tell, I just picked the truck up, late yesterday evening.
