I had one pop out. I put it back in and gnurled around the hole with a ball peen and an awl. It was never a problem again. It was still tight 40k later. I had to gnurl as I tapped just a bit too far. Just like the instructions said not to.

I put the probe back in. . the compression sleeve that holds it in looked like it wasn't tightend down properly. The check engine light turned off after I fixed it.

Just wondering about the different Stock/ Mileage/ Tow/ Drive/ Race/ Extreme settings you talk about.

Curious if the road demanded attention yet you were being pulled under by another bombed truck and wanted to select the naw I don't think so mode.

You can change it on the fly and that is an easy feature to use. You can even change it while while you foot is on the soot pedel and hear the engine getting more power. The low fuel at boost setting is cool to. You can change how much fuel it gets with 5 different setting at low boost and the highest setting sure smokes good. I played around with the backdown feature last night after I fixed the egt probe problem. I had it set at 1350 and then took off... when the attitude hit 1350 it backed down the fuel and did a good job keeping it at that temp while giving me the maximum power. No transmission problems :D:D On the way to work this morning I stomped on it on the free way and the top end on this truck now is amazing. Can't wait for all you guys to get one :D

Yeah. . i'm going to see if Aaron will let me go up there and test it at edge. I'm excited to see how it does. . I have a buddy with a d-max and I took him for a ride last night and he said it felt alot faster then his. He has an 02 2500 D-max with a 5" banks and juice box on 90hp. He said that he could feel a big difference on how my truck pulled compaired to his.

Will even though this isnt the right way to think... Im thinking the edge box is nothing compared to the tst if you havent blown anything up yet

Nick,

I would say that making power without blowing anything up is probably a little better than blowing it up. I would think that alot of turbos are lost in the agressiveness of the defueling. Like letting off the go pedal from wot at 3300 rpm's and 44 psi of boost pressure. Can you say POP!

Ok so what i get out of what you just said is that maybe they designed it to be "friendlier" in a sense to the turbo/motor... ??

Basically i want EDGE VS. TST... what makes more power, and is the better engineered box. .

Nick

Nick, I think you'll have to wait until a RELEASED version is available to make that determination. The prototypes are just that, prototypes and the production versions may be quite different.

To determine which box will make more power based on how much damage it will do to the engine is not wise either. Edge may make more power but bring it on slower thus not causing the turbo failure we've seen with TST, nobody knows. Keith is right on, wait til they release a production box and people have some time on them then we'll find out the numbers. We've been waiting a couple years what's another couple months. ;)

Hey Clayton,

Where's the pics?... info?... number of erections per mile driven in extreme mode?... details, man, details!

throw us a bone!

also interested in applications for 600Oo.

can't wait

Does the tst kick in at 900 RPM. . i thought someone said that, if so i really hope the edge kicks in later... thats just too early

I had a face to face with one of the fellows from Edge at BD dyno day and he told me that they will be offering more aggresive programming for those that ask for it and are willing to sign a waiver. These boxes have already been in the hands of certain vendors and assorted lucky *******s (er... worthy individuals) for a while so Im hoping a release isnt to far off. And Keith, where's my cam?

Yeah, I can get it, but I don't know if I can't post it. I'm "computer challenged" . I'm gonna try the ATTITUDE on my truck next week, and who knows it might make more HP since my truck is not stock. I'll try to post it then.

I guese I'm one of the "lucky" er, worthy individuals. ;) Ken Jones, Diesel Performance of Utah, put the Juice and Attitude on my Dually about 6 weeks ago. Been towing with it for 20K+ now, and its working great. Been using 2 & 3, (tow & drive). The low end is great! With the 100hp Quad box, if you got below 1900 RPM, you had to get 5th gear, but now I can drop it down to 1700 and it will come back real nice. Fuel mileage is 1 to 1 1/2 mpg better also. I fueled up in Cheyenne last night, spent the night in Ft. Collins, warmed it up for about 10min. this morn. , topped it off when I got home, 482mi. , took 23. 1 gal. =20. 87mpg. Full of fuel and me in it weighs 9800lbs. That was driving 72 -75 mph.

Going across Wy. , grossing 22. 5K I could keep it on 70mph in 6th on all the hills, and egt's on 1200*, but had to feather the pedal, cause if I would push pedal down it would gain speed, and egt's would climb also. It makes towing a lot easier and fun!!
