I have been on the TDR now 15 years. My First Dodge Cummins powered was a NEW 2001.5, 2wd Laramie with an automatic. I sold it in 2007 and August of 2007, I bought a NEW December 2006 built, 2007, 5.9, 4x4 with the 6 speed stick and I was able to find one that had the 6.7, AE ratio, G-56. Still have that truck.
So today I bought a 1990 W350 single rear wheel 4X4, 5 speed. I have known the original owner since 1998 and he sold it to a friend of his in 2011. Both guys were the ONLY drivers of the truck and they are both in their mid 70's now so this truck was not abused. I have worked on it, on and off for 16 years. Sure is different than my 2007, 5.9 but it is a neat truck to drive. Here are some pictures. I will be asking you guys some questions as I go with it. Was the W350 single rear wheel a rare model? I have only seen duallies.

Wow that's a real keeper! Now you NEED to rustproof it from the inside- out! Are those Ultra wheels? Can't recall the last W350 SRW I saw.

I have the Original owners manual cover from the Dealer it was bought at here in Paso Robles Ca. The truck has been in in San Luis Obispo county its whole life. No Coastal living as we are inland 17 miles. Always stored in a barn or under a carport. 100% rust free. What are "Ultra wheels?"

Are these a rare wheel that can't be replaced if you bugger one up?
I'd say- as you get acquainted with the truck, you'll wind up with a wheel off. That's when you can look for some ID. The Rod Hall runner was based on a 150 so it had 5 lug wheels, but I'm sure they made all applications.
They just have the look, and they look good there. I think it's safe to say they're irreplaceable.

Nice truck!!! Is that a PTO engagement for the winch, or a fuel shut off cable under the dash? How many miles are on the truck? Great find!

That is a fast idle pull. I haven't gotten to take a close look at it to see if it is an add on or put on by Dodge. 229K miles. Never felt a Getrag that shifted as well as this one and the stick is tight in the gates. I am going to dial everything in which isn't much, drive it a bit and sell it.

A friend of mine had several First Gens years that he purchased new and the hand throttle was a factory option as I recall. Just hooked to the top of the throttle pedal arm. I'm sure it was also available as an add-on from Dodge.

He had a couple with the tach on the left top of the dashboard but those were dealer installed.

Driving those trucks of his on occasion gave me the CTD bug and the rest is history. I was hooked after hauling two 1070 John Deeres on a flatbed behind his 1 ton First Gen.

Thanks on the feedback on the hand throttle. I thought it was factory but wasn't sure.

I had a '92 club cab LE trim W250. It was slow and gutless compared to what is out there ow, but was an amazing leap forward from the other competitors offerings at the time. I still miss that truck every once in a while.

Nice !! Welcome to the dark side . Been driving my 93 a bit more lately, had my one asshat call the other day seeing if it was for sale yet ! Same price as last time he inquired !!
