I've read several threads on RESETTING FUEL FILTER MONITOR

So I've read several threads on this... and tried most of them... tried to read between the lines.... BUT alas... can't get the darn thing to reset... I've read this can be an issue.... I do own a code reader.... a nice one... will that reset the monitor if I find it?

AND they need a layman to write a second index for the owners manual.... what a mess...

I found that when I went to rest the oil change monitor that the darn truck door needed to be closed for it to work....

Would one of you post the process that works for you.... I assume that a service writer in the dealer won't just jump in and do this for a customer for free.... maybe I have two left hands...

If I remember correctly, the truck must be in park with the key in the on (not running) position, then scroll through your gauge settings, and reset.

Toggle through to the point of the monitor, select right arrow and hold for reset..............after holding for approx. 5 seconds I release and have to hit it once more briefly for it to reset. No clue why I have to hit it the second time but it works.

Never heard of a 2013 with this problem. 2015-16 maybe. But not 2013

My 2014 can be touchy, had a service tech do it once after I had changed the filters. I thought it reset ,but went back ,and it had not. The other time it reset okay. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the oil reset.

Jim I will try to make a video of it for you on mine. I know what step you are missing once you start the processes and hit reset you have to use one of the arrow keys to confirm it the screen isn't very clear which one it is either, but after you do it, it real obvious like what a dummy I am obvious. When I go to lunch I will make the video.

I was in the wrong screen and when I found the correct screen I held the arrow button down too long... it just took a quick tap.... THANKS
