Quickspool Htpm Pulse Manifold

Fuel pressure with a FASS

The Turbo uses an HX-40 Down Pipe and Clamp, both available from J. R.

J. R. told me that with the 913 pump, a #10 and 370 I will have no problem spooling it, towing with it, or daily driving. He said it would be fine with the 0/370's also.

Hope that Helps Will. Wish I was done with college this semester.

Does he go through a lot of these? Or would he have some set up? Just curious because I don't know if the pulling season would be a threat for ordering one, or if he's just busy with other things in his business.

This may be for me, in the meantime while I wait to get situated at my new job :(, i'll just watch the reviews and see what everyone says.

Jeff, thanks for the info, that's the kid of info I was in need of. I am still curious to hear from more people that are actually running them though, the reviews so far are pretty positive, so that gives me a good feeling about this charger. On the college thing, I hear ya man, I am pretty darn happy to be done this semester, I was just about sick of being here, so the timing is right.

no problem Will. If you PM me your email Address I can foward J. R's mail to you. since we have basically the same setup, it should pertain to you.

yup, I hear ya, college SUCKS. I hate school.

TMass,

J. R. said that he only has one right now, and it would take 2-4 weeks to get more.

I think your insane EGT's will be cured with this turbo. I'm running 370's, J. R. 's custom plate, lazer cut dv's, and some other minor pump work and so far the EGT' fly up to 1200deg and stop even with it wastegated at a mere 45 psi. This turbo sounds awesome when it lights up. I think I still have room for more fuel, because it pretty much cleans up all smoke at top end. No exhaust mods if you already have 4" , just uses hx-40 downpipe.

Sweet, that pretty much answers my last question Travis, someone with a similar setup posting real world results.

Yeah, I just put in my three years of school too. Went for automotive my first year, decided I didn't learn enough and wasn't interested, so I walked over on the sidewalk to the diesel building one day with a school counseler, set up a crude schedule, and it went from there. I too was getting sick of school, especially this year as I had a lot of buddies that were second year during my first year of diesel, and the kids that I graduated with just weren't the same. Not as social, and basically had seperate social events, that and I had a hr drive back home each day. So school was boring, didn't learn as much this year either. It was time that it was over. But now it feels like i'm starting my life over, moving further away. What a guy won't do for money. :)

Anyways, yes I would like as many reviews as possible too. For me, particularly with the AT. A video, or even audio would be cool to show a little more on this turbo.

I realize that it has an HX-40 outlet, but would an exhaust like for instance an MBRP or a Jegs with a 4" downpipe bolt right up, or would there be modification needed (due to different length of the turbo)? I might be looking into a single stack in the future (which would necessitate custom exhaust), but just thought that I would ask.

Two to four weeks will be plenty of time, just as long as a notice could be placed in the future that would equate to that same down time. Like for instance not having to wait 8 weeks if I would make a commitment in a month-month and a half-or two months. Don't know if I could justify that, in that case it would be better off to make a notice now to have one ready in two months (which is a little distant ;)).

Say, does J. R. frequent this site at all much?

Travis glad you are likeng the new turbo!!! :)

I try to get online a couple times a week and see whats up but I am very busy and cant watch every thread.

The "LIL"55 uses a standard HX40 Dp and clamp. There are larger 55's avalaible. The "LIL"55 seems to work well for most every one that drives on the street. The pullers run the largest versions. With the right fueling it will do 500+HP no problem. OH... ... . that one that I had in stock is gone. :D

Do a search under HX55 and there will be plenty of info. Call if you need help!!

I need to find that missing winning lottery ticket! :{

You and your lottery ticket! :-laf

Yeah, that's kinda like me Mark, don't post much, just read a lot. :)

Thanks for coming onto this thread J. R. I don't want to bother you with any phone calls, so i'll just browse on here for now until i'm ready for a committment (hope for some reviews if people can do that), or maybe drop you an email later on. I do have a couple small questions if you could answer them. How many versions of the -55 do you have, and how have you found the Lil' 55 to do for pulling (at a certain HP)?

Thanks

Yeah have you seen that thing..... I'm still looking

JR has recommended the 'Lil 55 for me for pulling, and I know with one of those I'd be over 500HP with as much fuel as I'm pushing. I know TDR member SmittyBuilt had one he used for DD/pulling a race car trailer/ & sled pulling last year. He even won a few KY pulls, not sure how many. I'll give him a ring tomorrow and get him to put his $. 02 in. ;)

3 Roger Straley 98 Dodge London OH 328. 03

4 Jimmy Dale Smith (Smittybuilt) 02 Dodge Hostonville, KY 327. 11

5 Scott Amos 95 Dodge Muncie IN 324. 06

Jimmy has a '02 3500 with 6 street tires... ... . I think if he had a little more traction then he would have done better.

Hey Jimmy where are ya! :-laf

I went to a friend's wedding yesterday and we used our diesel's as the horse drawn carriage and I got some good smoking pics of mine blowing some smoke with the new 55' on there. I have to see how they turned out and get them posted on here.

sorry about not responding earlier, usually i'm just on here reading trying to gain some knowledge, then mark calls and wants me to respond. so here goes mark, i will try to make this as short as possible. my feelings are that the lil 55 is the best all around turbo on the market bar none. now that is just my thoughts. i have tried the 40's, b1's and then J. R. 's 55. i towed 20,000+ with this charger and then would unload and hook to the sled, as a matter of fact several can testify that i took my wife and kids racing(4-wheelers and motorcycles) came to a pull with a trailer unloaded the trailer and then hooked to the sled placed 2nd just a couple of feet behind george peterson's strickly pulling truck, then loaded the trailer back up and went home. just another night out on the town. i'm not for sure how much this charger will hold but it definately held more than i ever through at it. the hottest my truck got sledpulling was just a shade over 1300. on the street it would run up to about 1200 and then start moving some serious air. the charger would sound like it was going to suck the fire wall through the air filter. :D my mods to my truck which was a 24 valve: right before i did some trading for some twins was mach 6 injectors, blue chip fueling box, edge ez, mad ecm. never had a problem just wanted to play with some twins so i could say i did. my truck is a daily driver and i was always in the top 5 at any pull i attended. i hope this helps and i will try to watch this thread in case some one has another question.

Good enough for me. :D :-laf

What pull did you place 2nd in against George, and how many ft did you get?

What do you think you were running for HP?

What made you decide to switch to twins?
